2019 College football season thread

Herbert is the closest qb to luck that I know
Not sure how to take that considering there are some that dont think Luck was good lol.

There was a poster last that was asking what Herbert did well??

Mobility, ability to throw on the run, accuracy, arm talent/strength. Decent mechanics from ive seen.

He's made a few sweet throws tonight.

Faoliu baby. Dude has been explosive tonight

How are they not going for 2?

This is an anecdotal statement but it seems like Oregon has become a team that finds a way to lose games these last few years

Didn’t even give anyone a chance lmaoooo.

So glad I avoided betting that game

Out of bounds. Go home Oregon. Go home. LOL

That ball has to be in play, it was ten yards out of the back of the end zone

He fit the ball into tight windows all night.

Then throws it a foot before the front row on a Hail Mary for the game.

Bo nix was there as a 10 year old when cam newton led the game winning drive against Oregon and now he threw the GW touchdown pass 9 years later against the same team. That’s something out of a movie

That 15 yard misconduct for spiking the ball actually hurt Oregon.....

Took a page from the Andy Reid book of game management.

Lol I can see why Stidham struggled last year. Auburn offense is so predictable and the o line is terrible.
I came to post the same thing...
Stidham must be thinking, " oh so this what it's like to have time to go thru your progressions when you have an offensive line that blocks"....

In college they have limited time to practice. Coaches usually have to make a choice whether they want to focus on run blocking or pass blocking. Auburn is definitely one of those teams that’s stressing run blocking more than pass blocking. So that wasn’t good for stidhan

This is a big boy throw.

Yep. The kid is going to be fine as a college quarterback. He sucked outright in the first half but grew up in the second. Herbstriet put it best when he said that Nix was getting used to not being able to do some of the things he got away with in high school at this level. He was also clearly nervous. Tough draw to go up against that defense on national television for your first start.

OK played D almost a whole half & was like nah, no more.

Hurts really gonna run for a 1K. Easily one of the better running QBs Ive ever seen.

Bad pass, easy TD but should have been caught imo

Crazy to see a bud foster defense play like that. But then again they stunk last year

VT defense has long been based in attitude and had a chip on its shoulder. It came from Beamer. Foster was the beneficiary. We now see the result.

He's not a #1 overall NFL prospect like the last two, but if Hurts keeps putting up absolutely huge passing/running numbers, could we see a 3rd straight OU QB Heisman winner?
