OLine's 2-4 Record Crappiness Stabilized, 7 wins in a row now

Trent Brown was a liability for Oakland last year due to his calf. Hope belichick has a workable solution in place that doesn't involve Marshall Newhouse

Not saying Onwenu isn't also an elite LG. But right tackle is a much more important position. And Karras is much better at LG than Durant or Herron are at tackle. The entire OLine is much weaker plugging in a scrub at RT and keeping Karras on the bench.

PFF: Onwenu rated 79 last year at RT (top10 in the league):

If one looks back, Trent has been a not great or injury prone RT 3+ different times before. He's huge so gets pigeon holed at RT. But he was durable for the Pats at LT and went a whole year including won a championship. Look at his grades. He's a super elite pass blocker but he's not a road grader run blocker. His temperment is better suited for LT and he keeps getting hurt at RT. He's more like an Orlando Brown than a Michael Oher. He's miscast. But that's beside the point. It's even more nonsensical to play a random guy Durant or Herron at RT and hope your rookie QB doesn't end his season on every season play.

As expected Durant sucked and Mac took 3 sacks in the first half. RT is a problem that needs to be fixed. Play Karras at LG and Onwenu at RT.

Wynn hasn't done great this year and also the left side hasn't been blowing people off the ball. Time to switch it up.

Oline is max avg without Brown

Really thought OL would be great. Hope they turn it around.

A really bad sign. It's not working. Change up the OLine.

Trent - Wynn - Andrews - Mason - Onwenu.

.

Trent is out.
Who you plan on his replacement?

Durant was garbage. Herron is mediocre.

In this particular case with Trent out then:
Wynn- Karras- Andrews- Mason- Onwenu.

If everyone is healthy go with:
Trent- Wynn- Andrews- Mason- Onwenu.

I expect Trent to be back next week, he doesn't have a long term injury.

For one week, only to go back to the original lineup in week 3? No.

If Brown were out for multiple weeks it would make more sense, but having practiced on Friday leads me to believe he'll be back for the Saints.

I'm curious why you think Durant is "bad". Right now he's an unknown.

To follow up, yes Durant is BAD. Period. Didn't need to waste a game to know Durant and Herron should never play again if at all possible.

Get this man an Oline and 1 speedy WR and this team is lethal.

Durant almost got mac killed today.

Exactly. It's not smart to get your rookie QB hit so much. It's a bad confluence of factors. We have an oc hell bent on stat padding so he can interview for a job in 4 months. So shotgun plays repeatedly getting Mac killed. With a bad RT and not even trying to use a 2TE offense.
