Anyone watch Vice this week? They featured a distinct possibility that BP made the catastrophe much worse by knowingly using a hazardous chemical to reduce the amount of the oil. That has resulted in (evidence) deformed shrimp and death of people in the population, and unexplained rashes that were pretty gross. None of those symptoms existed before the oil incident. Employees of BP requested protective garb (respirators) but were rejected (how would that look to the unprotected worker). Our Coast Guard was also involved with the spraying of the chemicals. The show got a hold of a damaging email.

Foolish me, I thought it would be ok to wait a few years to eat Orleans shrimp.

I have a cousin who is higher up at another oil company and the rest of the industry is pissed at BP because the bad PR that has spilled over to all the other companies. He lives on the gulf coast and said people don't know the half of it and says their cleanup is a joke.
