I’d rather have our RB crew than Bell.
Okay, we get it, you're excited. Bell is a top 3 running back. But this is dumb. Look at their combined production and it exceeds Bell's -- for less money, too. We have versatility and fresh legs; he breaks down in the post season.
Err. Nevermind. You don't know what that is.
Our WR situation is frightening. Sony Michel is going to have a big year.
Find me someone outside of NE who agrees?
I bet your crew is better than Barkley and Zeke too right?
Yes I'll bet Michel has more rushing TDS then Bell.
He's not better than our whole group combined. Our top trio rushed for 1542 and had 932 receiving yards this season. And we still have a STs ace, our FB, and a few more mil to spend all for the same price.
Let's agree to disagree.
He’s a great pickup, but I expect his numbers to go down a decent amount without the benefit of a HOF QB and WR opening things up for him.
Well I'll agree he does lack a HOF WR.
If everyone were being honest, there wouldn't be any people IN New England who would actually prefer the Patriots RB corps to having Bell, assuming Bell is Bell after the layoff and we're just talking football on the field.
In a vacuum, I agree.
I'd rather not. Your wrong and you came to my house either admit your wrong or run and hide. Lol.
Seriously though as I originally said Bell closes the gap a little he's obviously very good but if Darnold is actually a QB capable of winning a SB why blow your wad to pimp him up during his formative years? you might find a few years from now he's not as good as he looked a la Sanchez. That formula did get you to two AFC titles so maybe it works better this time but then again maybe it doesn't do as well.
Yea but Bell rushed for 0 yards, 0 TDs and 0 receptions this season. Checkmate.
Ha, it's the offseason. Gotta have some fun with it.
Let's see. We end the season with Edelman, Dorsett, Hogan, Patterson, and Gordon on suspension (after having him for part of the year).
Edelman and Dorsett are back. Gordon is likely to be back (but didn't contribute in the playoffs). Harris/Elligton/Berrios will likely get more reception than Patterson.
The PANIC seems to be in replacing Hogan. I expect to see another 5 WR's in camp, from fa signings, trades and draftees. I suspect that we'll find a replacement for the mighty Hogan.
It's a credit to Bell that it's even a debate but as I just posted our trio put up numbers last year that were better than Bell's best in both rushing and receiving.
There is value in having one guy to do the job (less predictable) but there is also value in the depth of 3 guys to 1.
You over-spent on a paycheck player RB who sat on his a$$ for a year. He'll be on IR before week 8 and you'll go 7-9 this year if you're lucky.
But hey, congrats on the signing.
Is this true? Or just being hopeful?
I'm a huge Gordon fan.
Hope he comes back and lights it up.
