Look at that list Cousins....
Is there any player there we can't live without?
Is there a player on this list we could not get to be a roster filler in the Draft and saved our money?....and we are not a great Drafting club for sure.
This is the FA period. Raise your hand if you think you could have made better roster selections than these third string pick ups.
This isn't all on BB. He has a Director of Pro Personnel Brian Smith who is the culprit in part.
Please imagine this:
He is at home selecting players. or "binkies" he likes on his Lap Top like we might do. "Ohh I like this guy" or "Nah, if we pick this guy up it's likely to show up so-and-so on our Team"
Is there anyone on this forum who does not believe he or she can do better than "DT Allen, WR Byrd, OLB Copeland, S C. Davis, QB Hoyer, S Phillips, FB Vitale"?
Just one signing Mr. Smith...just one that we can say as Bill might say...."We think he will give us the best chance to win"
How about:
Wolfe-Exactly the diversity BB seeks in a D lineman
Griffen-32 with a chip on his shoulder. Helps take up Collins and KVN sack numbers
Suh- 33 but is still a going concern for offenses. Could light it up here and would be cheap
Tim Jernigan-Only 27 but can be dominant but for past injuries
Markus Golden LB-10 sacks for the miserable Giants (reminds me of the Anderson signing)
Kamalei Correa-Would be great solid pick up at LB for Pats
Rishard Higgins WR- He would be a starter day one
Corey Coleman WR-Former first-rounder only 25. A BB reclamation of a blue-chip. 4.42 40.
Demarkus Robinson WR Proven WR over Draft kids.
Trades? I know that word is foreign to you Mr. Smith ..........but:
David Njoku TE Perhaps in a Trade as the Browns picked up Hooper.
Adam Shaheen TE. A failed second-rounder who is still a better TE than what we have in a trade with the Bears for perhaps a 6th. He has had injuries. He's still young. His catch percentage is still almost 80%Only 25
