2001...Rams beat us 24-17 in our own house. SB... different story.

2004... Pitt crushed us reg season and ended our winning streak. AFCCG... different story.

Both teams had arguably the hottest QBs in the league at the time as well.

IMHO this team at full strength is better than those teams. And as long as we pound the rock enough, we will win again if we meet them again.

In short...

or vice versa, in '11 Pats beat giants in reg season.....

It also helps that the rematch, if it happens, will be on neutral ground*

*asterisk shoutout to the 'fix is in' faction!

Oh, Jesus this isn't going to play well with the Chicken Littles. Knock it off.

The Pats went into a hard place to win against a top team and were a Gronk dropped pass from potentially winning the game. I don't feel particularly bad about the loss. It sucks, but the Pats played a tough opponent to the end on their field.

Not a few posters seemed almost nonchalant these past many weeks, writing this off as a likely loss in advance. Why not follow their lead? Decompress!

I am not worried about beating GB again in SB. I am worried how we can get to SB.

I'm not nervous, just disappointed. I expected this game to bring out their best, but instead it was a clusterf*ck for the first quarter.

For better or worse, so were those two Games That Shall Not Be Mentioned.

When Green Bay made 2 awesome defensive stops, and got 13 points we had to abandon the run. I think if we established the run early, we may have won this game.

Look at it this way... we brought our B (B minus?) game to the toughest venue in which to win, their QB was an accuracy machine, their plan to attack US was PERFECT...

...and we lost by 5 points... a Gronk catch away from taking the lead late.

I just can't feel bad about that.

Well as a lot of folks already pointed out, GB had 3 points in the second half. The Pats started to figure it out but a little too late, BB would have a different plan come the next game if there is one...I also bet the Pats offense plays a lot better in any rematch and also has a different game plan.

All is well because sometimes losers win rematches?

A healthy Jones, Siliga and Flemming, no homefield and the reduction of flags in the playoffs should make a rematch a closer game.

I couldn't possible grade that effort higher than a C-, which I suppose makes your point even stronger.

I look at it as the Packers B game beating the Pat's C game.

I’m not nearly as upset about the loss, as much as I’m upset about losing that 1-game cushion we had over the Donkeys. FCCCCCCKKKKK!!!! Now we pretty much MUST run the table to keep that #1
