This is the description one review gave "Marriage Story." I'm at halftime right now and totally enjoying it. Scarlett Johansen plays a woman who actually doesn't look like you're supposed to drool over her, she's just a presentable working actress. She's getting divorced from Kylo Ren or whatever TF his name is. They are both actually good actors. Quirky & Good stuff.

    Anybody see it? Any opinions?

I’m not married, how can I relate? Oh, wait, it’s also about divorce. I still had hoped it was Wallace Shawn and Rob Reiner in the Odd Couple.

Scarlett Johansson is nominated as well. Also nominated for supporting actress in Jo Jo Rabbit. She’s very good with/without clothes.

regarding your last comment, if they ever shot a live-action Roger Rabbit (distant relative), she'd be the perfect Jessica. At least, for maybe another 10 minutes. The unfortunate march of time takes us all. She already looks sort of like Molly Ringworm looked 10 years after doing all those John Hughes films.

I’ve liked Driver ever since he was the only one actually laughing at Gervais roasting all of Hollywood. Figures he was the only former Marine in the building as well.

I’ve liked him since Frances Ha. Good actor. Not afraid of unlikable character/roles. Doesn’t seem like he takes himself too seriously which I don’t think that has to do with the military but it might.

Scar Jo doesn’t have the curves to play Jessica Rabbit, but she definitely has the sassy “it” factor. Throw some CGI effects or a nice wonderbra on her, and let’s make this thing happen.

Also, I can only hope that my wife never sees this comment discussing a 35 year old cartoon character’s ample bosom, because well....it’s just weird.

Says the guy interacting with fnord about fnord's pal being catfished for texting a dick pic, etc, in the Casual Chat thread. Your wife has more on you than Epstein had on the Clintons and Trump.

Okay I dont care if it actually appears on TMZ or something, "Scar Jo" just hurts to read. I just looked around for research purposes only for that particular characteristic on I guess I'm gonna say Scrohanson (not any better) pics, and true, it's the rare SlitJon (getting worse) pic that even suggests Jessicarabbitesque proportions.

To that I say, she dyed her hair for the Black Widow role, like she's not used to the idea of making some changes for the role.

As to your wife's thoughts on discussing the 35 year old cartoon character's charms, I will still not only watch Swamp Thing but suddenly feel like taking a shower after because 50 years ago or something Adrienne Barbeau had to run away from the titular (sic) character in environments that got moisture on the character's wardrobe. That film's oscar snub singlehandedly convinced me that the Academy means nothing.

In fact, I secretly believe that The Shape of Water was an inside joke in Hollywood about getting the oscar Swamp Thing deserved cooked up in some bar, with moguls shouting at each other "Oh sure you can't give a sexy actress an oscar and be politically correct, bullsh1t, Children of a Lesser God, right? They just have to be hearing impaired, and you can have them straight up F*&(*&^ the Swamp Thing and it's ART! MORE TEQUILA!" Hell make her visually impaired and you can work in tentacles.

And your funny little honey is worried because it's possible that an exquisite bit of 80s stroke toon porn still works on *all* of us after all these years? You tell Mrs. Supafly it just makes it less work to play some patty cake know wha'm sain.

all in good fun, malice to none, etc.

    :D

Man whoever that guy's lawyer was has an uphill battle getting his next client off, I mean unless the whole court + jury is already in his pocket.

Not a bad gig when there's no evidence or witnesses to discuss. Like shooting truth in a barrel.

I guess the really on-the-nose adaptation might be "shooting America in a barrel" or "shooting us in a barrel." It could be a sort of clever twist to say "shooting Hamilton Fish in a barrel" for those who'd bother to google. For disambiguation you want the Hamilton Fish from the Watergate hearings not his forebears by the same name, and definitely not the serial killer, although that would have been a hell of sick capital punishment twist, to execute that guy by shooting him in a barrel.
