Those are incels.
It supposedly takes the character and puts a real world spin on him. Takes a guy who is a social outcast and shows how he eventually gets warped, and warps himself, into a murderer. You can see a lot of political themes. From the reviews I’ve read, although they’re mostly positive, it’s not working for everyone. And yes, we are a truly deranged bunch.
Are you kidding or are they really?
That’s what your typical incel looks like. Those guys are getting zero ass, combined.

I don't believe in incels, they're just sick idiots who won't date women as homely as they are and somehow believe they deserve better. Here's what I imagine a self-proclaimed incel to look like:
Some guys just couldn’t get laid with a fistful of bills in a whore house. Those are usually the types who shoot up a school/bar/Wal-Mart/etc. Lets be honest here - nobody is getting any slizz in a fedora with plumes of vape smoke streaming out of their nostrils and mouth.
Then it's their own fault. I just believe if a guy puts honest effort into it and is realistic about who he is and what he has to offer, he can get laid with a woman at his own level of social development and physical attractiveness. It might require being in a monogamous relationship first, but anyone can get laid. This "incel" stuff isn't real, it's a false construct of the Internet age.
‘Joker’ opens next week. It’s already controversial - The Boston Globe
The Boston Globe reviewer writes of watching a screening with an audience member who whoops and applauds as the violence increases. It’s hard to play irony well so everyone gets it. Kurt Cobain had to explain that he really wasn’t pro sexual assault even though he wrote Rape Me. X doesn’t play Johnny Hit and Run Pauline anymore. Michael Corleone is clearly seen as the hero by a lot of viewers.
Sounds like a very well made movie but one that not everyone will get the same way.
Can't read the review (requires subscription). I believe there are two basic criteria by which a film can be judged. One is subjective -- whether it entertains you. One is more objective -- whether it possesses redeeming value. It'll be interesting to see how this one is received along what lines.
Funny thing about that guy is that 30 years later he was seen in his office with the words “pink stripes” written on the board behind him.
At least the wedding band indicates he's no incel.
Yeah but even if he does all that, he’s going to have to open his mouth and talk at some point. What’s he going to talk about? How the moon landing was faked and the government was behind 9/11?
Well, if the woman he's with is on his level she'll either be enthralled or won't care. Just like my wife, whenever I have something profound to say she doesn't give a damn.
That's the general idea.

RT rating on this is 79 a day before opening. Not bad, but thought it would be higher given the hype.
Metacritic has it at 62. I prefer them to Rotten Tomatoes because they have taken the average score of 44 different major media outlets (thus far).
Typically, I’ll try and avoid anything below 60.
Dah ****? And wait a minute INCEL's are single? I would wager a guess that maaany married men would vehemently disagree with that premise.
I have tickets for the 4:30 show today (only the 3rd movie I have seen in theaters in the past 15 years) pray I am not unknowingly an INCEL on the brink.
I thought that was NED? I'm confused now thanks Tune
