I'm not a member of the NRA, but if I had to guess I'd say that they're concerned about the slippery slope aspect of those laws. I also don't care much for the scare tactics used by the left. That kind of thinking led to our pilots being unarmed on 9/11.

I agree about the video games and I remember telling my children that when they were young.

Do we know if JP is a carbon footprint preacher? If he isn't then he's not being an Al Gore type hypocrite.

If we're going to criticize people just for having luxury homes then Tom Brady and a host of others would also be fair game.

I haven't watched 1917 or any of the best picture flicks aside from Joker. So basically, I have nothing to contribute to this thread, unless my opinion on the NRA, carbon footprints, if famous people have the right to an opinion, etc. is part of the thread. I didn't listen to Phoenix's speech and haven't had cow milk in decades but not exactly sure why.

Just as long as you use obvious straw man arguments to be consistent with the internet approach.

I’m looking forward to seeing it in the next couple of days. I believe that iTunes has it available for rent starting Tuesday.

The only thing I'll advise you to do without spoiling anything is to not miss the details of the battlefield, the farm house, the river, the town, the woods. Enjoy the beauty of the night scene.

I saw this in the theater when it came out. I got to say I liked it but did not love it. I wouldn't put it with the great wars movies like Private Ryan or WW 1 movies like Paths of Glory but was very good.

I thought it was outstanding as well.

I didn't watch Parasite, nor do I plan to. Oscars are given to forward whatever Hollywood's agenda du jour is, especially best picture. With that said, I do watch the Oscar broadcast, merely for the eye candy. Some of those people look like movie stars should look, in a classic sense. I look forward every year to see what Charlize Theron looks like. I can't say I am a fan, but she certainly looks like a classic movie star. Wow, that was a big digression...

I loved Joker. Phoenix' take was amazing. Tough to play that character and bring something new to it, after Ceasar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, and Jared Leto all brought a new interpretation to it. It's an interesting evolution. Anyway... Y'all have a good day.

The joker was a good movie, but I did not enjoy it. I like to enjoy movies.
