There are so many options between 23 and 47 with four picks in that range!

2009 DRAFT DAY ONE
23 Jenkins or Matthews or Maualuga
34 Laurinitis or Wood/Unger
44 Sintim or Wood/Unger (I traded up with our 58 and 89)
47 Sintim or Moore or Chung or Rashad Johnson

We could be able to meet all four needs: DB, ILB, OLB and OG.

2009 DRAFT DAY ONE
23 Jenkins or Barwin
34 Barwin or Beatty (if Barwin in round 1)
44 Delmas (with a trade up from 58) or Wood/Mack (if Jenkins in round 1)
47 Gilbert

We could be able to meet all four needs: DB, LB, DL and OL.[/QUOTE]

I fixed it for you. :D

Thereby proving the powerful point
you made in the excellent thread on "Overrated Draft?" ...
namely, that this is the year to cash in those picks.

2009 DRAFT DAY ONE
23 Jenkins or Butler or Maualuga or English
34 Laurinitis or Wood/Unger or Barwin or English
47 Sintim or Moore or Chung or Rashad Johnson
58 Gilbert or Robinson

That would be a great first day. If Jenkins fall def. I like Darius Butler i think in a couple years he will be better than Samuel. I like Jarron Gilbert at 47 or 58. He would be Seymours replacement if he decides to leave next season.

I love these type of lists:

1: E. Brown, M. Jenkins, or D. Butler

2a. C. Barwin, L. English, A. Smith

2b. R. Johnson

2c. J. Merideth

3a. J. Brinkley

3b. K. Urbik

Here's my day 1 algorithm:

1. If Aaron Curry falls to #8, then try to trade up for him with 23 + 58 (possibly adding 124 or 89, and even going as high as 23 + 47), until he goes.

2. Once Aaron Curry is off the board, if Malcolm Jenkins is on the board at 15 then try to trade up for him, going as high as 23 + 58.

3. If Curry and Jenkins are off the board, then take Connor Barwin at 23. Otherwise, try to get Barwin at 34.

4. Go for BVA elsewhere.

My Hope

#23 Butler or Maualuga
#34 Larry English
#47 Sean Smith
#58 (my hope is to trade up a little and select) Louis Delmas
#89 Trade for a 2010 2nd Round
#97 OG
