You're not approaching this in any kind of serious, rational way. Emphasizing words like "entire" and "only" is an attempt to construct a lame strawman and is beneath you.

Of course there are multiple factors to any loss, but Milloy was a huge factor in that game and both the football--and indications strongly suggest emotional--aspects of Butler were huge factors in this game.

I used those words to create a black and white debate.

Claiming emotions caused a loss is speculation

I know that you really want to believe that BB doesn't screw up......but he screwed up......at least in regards to the goal of winning the SB......maybe he sees himself as a man of impeccable moral standards and he simply believed that making his point was a priority over winning the SB , but I doubt it

Is it quicker to Tulsa Oklahoma or by bus?

Combine that with yours and we now have 2 irrelevant questions.

Only an idiot wouldn't admit that BB screwed this one up. He's a great coach, but he cost us this SB. People ripped on Brady in the Dolphins loss, but those same people can't imagine that BB made a mistake.

We handed the Eagles the SB and Brady was the only one trying to take it back.

Morality is not one of BBs strong suits. Not even close.

I agree, I still think there is a piece of information missing. Butler was either sick or not doing something or doing something.

I wish we could find that info

    OK.

BB was banging chicks left and right w/ the Browns, Jets and Patriots and has no issues playing druggies, drunks and wife beaters....

Glad you can see alternate realities and what would have happened if one of the other three got injured..

Unless you're someone who's never met a human being before, these are not difficult deductions to make.

The whole tenor of the conversation here has been bizarre. It truly is cult like… You're all waiting for some mysterious piece of information to emerge, when the reality is there is no justifiable explanation for benching Butler the entire game.

Yeah not seeing what scheme would dictate using LESS corners and more safeties in a dime package. Especially if one of those safeties cannot cover or tackle for $hit.

Like some on this board, I'm just not into coming to lazy conclusions.

To say the team was in a bad emotional state and that is the main reason they lost is ridiculous. Its speculative.

I have no doubt Milloy being let go rocked the locker room and the team took the field a bit shaken but to not look at how screwed up the communication in the secondary was with new players (3 of them) and Milloy knowing the Patriots calls is more likely the real reason they lost.

Like this example, I have no doubt players looked at Malcolm and were like, "WTF" . For the past week I've stayed mainly out of the schematic/matchup reasons why they lost because we don't know for a fact they lost because Malcolm sat but we do know the original game plan, personnel and adjustments were not successful. Blame the players. Blame the coaches. Blame BB. I'm fine with all of that.
