Looks like Mac is eating healthier lol
Yeah no sh!t, that bod ain't gonna make it through a full season again, especially with Wynn/Lose at LT... A once-weekly (at least) lean steak with baked potatoes & broccoli/carrots ain't a bad thing...
Poor him. That looks like a lettuce sandwich. Give that man a buffalo burger...put a little lead in his pants.
Probably needs to take vitamin B supplements.
I see a lot of athletes are going to plant based diets. I'm sure it's a lot healthier than my meat/grease based diet.
In the TMI and way OT department,,,,I have a degree in Wildlife Biology.
For animals with short digestive tracts (IE rodents, rabbits, primates, HUMANS?) there is the term coprophagy (previously termed refection).
The re-ingestion of partially digested feces to acquire the full complement of B vitamins.
COPROPHAGY
Coprophagy (from the Greek “to eat dung”) is a behavior where an animal reingests its own excreted feces and it has been observed in the rabbit, rat, mouse, hamster, guinea pig, and chinchilla. It is more correctly called
cecotrophy. While herbivorous
hindgut fermenters like the rabbit, guinea pig, and chinchilla show very active cecotrophy, it is exhibited to a lesser extent in the more omnivorous rat, mouse, and hamster. It can increase during pregnancy and lactation in order to increase the supply of
vitamin B12 and
folic acid.
My personal opinion is we as humans have been around for apx 100,000 years and are still primarily hunter/gatherers genetically and have not caught up to our agrarian lifestyle.
What's that mean to me?
Vegetarian and vegan diets are unnatural, hence the necessity for vitamin B supplements.
Also, hunter/gatherers occasionally run out of food. This would support the new thinking of micro fasting as opposed to constantly eating.
How can you burn fat if you are constantly eating? Many of us have lost the ability/knack of going into our fat reserves.
Unfortunately for me, my wife is Chinese and has "hangry" issues. She cooks and eats constantly. Chinese seem to have a food fixation IMHO and don't go anywhere without bringing snacks. Personally, I do best with one large meal a day and a few supplemental snacks.
