Lol not sure what it is you think Pioli, Reese, and Casserio did. Bill's always delegated well and allowed his guys to do their work and considered their input into everything that's why they were in the roles they were in to begin with.
Exactly... I always ask people to tell me what changed. Caserio left in 2019? So... what changed in the personnel / head coach dynamic after 2019? This is when Kraft asked for a new approach.

What exactly was it?

To be clear, it wasn't anything he said. I was noting what the 49er coaches were saying.
I was hesitant to read it after you said that but I read it anyway and yeah...he didn't really say anything negative...I think.

He's talking about what a great inside rusher he is and the Patriots totally misused him.

You know, because he sucked doing that too when he was in rotations earlier in the year. He's just overwhelmed at the pro level, it is what it is.

Honestly this was similar to the ******** he was saying after Mayo was fired and Vrabel was brought in.

Feels like all talk to me.

Yep, it's what we already knew; he's better inside but not good enough to get inside snaps with the Patriots, and not dynamic enough to be effective on the edge.

He's also too small to play inside. Maybe 30 years ago he could get away with it.

Yeah but he didn't throw anyone under the bus. He said it wasn't a good scheme fit. All good.

? You make it sound entirely different than I heard it. He said that the coaches over there, who he was deferential to, have their new scheme, which requires him to rush from outside, and as soon as he said this, he then said he needed to do a better job from the outside than he did and that he was beaten out

I suspect White will always have "limitless potential", and will never fulfill it.

I hope he succeeds, but I think White's biggest problems are between his ears: inability to adjust, mental make-up, lack of "Cochella"-ability, and lack of taking accountability for his failure to progress.

It seems to me like the problem some of these guys had was the ability to stay focused play after play throughout games. They would flash potential, but couldn't bring it on every play. That certainly seemed to be the case with White and Duggars.

I didn't like reading any of that.

Why? You don't understand how a self-centered whiner and crybaby with a bad attitude hurt our locker room? Its not rocket science. I read it and it confirmed that he is better off this team.

White and his excuses are just ridiculous. He couldn't do much as a rookie while Barmore had his best season commanding attention and notched 8 sacks. Then he had his 2 game fluke in 2024 only to throw coaches under the bus for his disappearance. He's a no man's land player - two small to play inside and too slow to at Edge. His lone rush move has been easy for T's to adjust to. He's basically Solomon Thomas who the 9ers had to try him inside because he was so worthless as DE.

The chances of White being "misused" and 49ers tapping into "unlimited potential" is slim to none. In fact, they would've offered more than a 6th rounder if they thought so highly of him. The last front 7 player the Pats got rid due to "scheme fit" and had decent success elsewhere was only one player and that was Greg Spires. That was almost 25 years ago.

Gotta be honest, all I'm reading is "I didn't fit, I could've done better at what they had asked me to do, but I feel like I'm of better use in a different system."

I mean. Nothing bad about that. Whatever, who knows if it'll ring true, but it's not like he was throwing shade.
