Pretty funny how all these reporters ask about really obvious, measurable skills and Gruden steers the discussion back to Brady. Translation: it’s between the ears that really matters.

You only need to hear Gruden break down Brady's footage to see the amount of respect he has for him. I remember seeing a game that Gruden was covering and i never seen someone actually go through and understand what Brady does and the way he manipulates Defences. I really didn't appreciate how amazing he was in the pocket until I saw him in person the first time (the 45-3 game against the Jets). It was really a beautiful thing to behold and the TV angles don't do it full justice.

Gruden said in the same presser that he thinks instant replay should be eliminated. Quite sure there’s some more influence from that game that he thinks about constantly. I’m starting to come around to the idea of less replays too, though. Both teams are going to get a few bad calls. Deal with it and move on. Older games are so much more enjoyable to watch.

I watch a ton of high school ball in South Carolina. I see plays and think about replay ... and then realize there is none. It is refreshing - no worrying about what slo-mo shows. The calls stand and life goes on. Replay is way overdone.

Yeah who needs fairer outcome. Just suck it up. You win a game here because of a bad call or lose a championship there. It's all good. Replay just sucks. It just leads to fairer outcomes. Let's get rid of it. Life was so much better when coaches and players yelled at refs for hours.

Coaches and players still yell. There is no perfect - or even close. A lot of replays get debated endlessly- and are still being used to overturn calls made on the field on very iffy evidence. Even trained refs don’t agree on a slew of replays. Going back and looking at super slo-mo and freeze frames to make decisions in a game played and reffed at full speed is not inherently fairer. Maybe they should just do replays at normal speed and if they see nothing way off, uphold the call.
