rip johnny. nobody loved being a part of the redsox more than johnny pesky did. I'm glad he got to see them win it before he passed away. my heart felt condolences to his family and friends.

he was one of those guys who put his career on hold to go serve his country in world war2. i have so much respect and admiration for those guys of that era.
