Jabar Gaffney Appreciation Thread

Jabar "gets it" in his role on this team, and he's very dependable when the ball comes his way.

I've been loving Gaffney since the day they signed him last year. I really felt like he was going to come up big for us.

It's nice to see a hard working guy like 'The Hut' have a chance to make a meaningfull contribution. It is very difficult to get PT never mind throws given the 1-2-3 WR lineup like the 2007 Pats field.

jabar gaffney played really well... he made donte stallworth look "almost" (almost?) expandable next season..
..don't joke because we're going to need a bunch more games from Gaff like this next year. I'm guessing that Stallworth and Washington are gone. Still... Moss, Welker, and a Gaffney/Jackson rotation doesn't sound too bad to me after last night.

Isn't Gaffney one of those bum wide-receivers that Brady has had to put up with over the past few years according to you guys?

Gafney was signed mid-year last year.

Also, there is a big difference between being solid as a 4th option and being counted on to be a starter outside.

Nice try though! :rocker: :rocker:

Ahh - my bad. So he was one of the bums Brady had to throw to in the AFCCG.

donte - 36 catches for 563 yds
jabbar - 21 catches for 229 yds

almost

Thank you Jabar, your best game of the season, and an essential part of the win tonight.

A really underappreciated guy all season. Hopefully this ends the “Let’s see some Chad Jackson!” nonsense at least for a few weeks, Jabar is a great 4th receiver and played like a 1st tonight.

*bows*

Gaffney has been a true diamond in the rough....great, great, hard nosed receiver that always seems to make the big catch.........He is a huge impact player on this team.....and can be so productive when the secondary is set to cover Moss, Stallworth, and Welker......no one expects that much out of Gaffney....Well until now.........GREAT GAME GAFF!!!!

Gaffney always had amazing hands when he was at Florida. It's his strength, and I think it makes him a really good fit in the Patriots offense in those spread sets. Put Moss and Donte on the outside and put Welker and Gaffney on the inside and you won't lack for good targets.

You’ve earned your way to the top of the board the second week in a row Jabar!

Amazing work. :rocker:

Jabba the Hut appreciation!

The guy has become so clutch. All praise Jabar.

To those who wanted the Pats to cut Gaffney in favor of Caldwell....nyah nyaaaah!!!

Insert Keegs quote here.

Go Gaffney you are da man tonight looking for more good catches from you this season.

sorry, but i gotta gloat for a sec
i still remember coming in here shortly after the eagles got donte stallworth, and hearing that gaffney might get cut
i said we should give him a shot, and always thought he was a decent wr with houston
i got blasted, everyone sayin how he had gator arms, blah blah
well, he looks to have been a pretty good pickup huh

okay, enough of me gloating
great game
great win
we are going to get everyones best game times 100 from here on out
i dont think we quite understood how much everyone was gonna play up for our games now
it comes with the territory
but yeah, i would love to re-sign gaffney cheap
thing is we're givin him close to nothing now, and he'll more than likely want a raise
but i love him as a number four

I can SMELL you gloating...you ain't fooling me

oh wait...that's my late night steak...

I have a feeling this won't be the last time I'm posting in this thread this season. Keep up the great work Jabar.
