i keep seeing references on the forum to JAG, JAG, JAG, JAG. yet wikipedia says his name is james r. garoppolo:

Jimmy Garoppolo - Wikipedia

James R. Garoppolo (born November 2, 1991) is an American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Eastern Illinois and was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, with whom he won two Super Bowls as the backup to Tom Brady.

and this site called hollywood life says his name is james richard garoppolo:

Jimmy Garoppolo – Hollywood Life

Jimmy Garoppolo (born James Richard Garoppolo on November 2, 1991 in Arlington Heights, Illinois) is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots. He was born and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois and attended Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

why does everyone keep referring to him as JAG? it's driving me nuts!!!!
.

Hopefully he winds up a jag in SF and finds his way back here at some point

Seeing JAG is almost as overused and cringe as “Chicken Little”.

He's not coming back. Get over it. Our next franchise qb is probably still in high school right now or a freshman in college

I regret the fact that I did not investigate his quickness.

Jimmy's gone and everyone has had a chance to react.

Between this, "Jimmy Sucks", and "Meat on the Bone" the threads are starting to get out of hand.

Let's turn the page and move onto Denver.

**If you still wish to talk Jimmy G it's fine by me but I'm sure there are enough pre-existing threads to add onto.

Calling him JAG is not calling him a JAG..

Although he wishes he was as good as a JAG, which is too bad. He used to be a HOF shoe-in. His game, and potential, just seemed to collapse a short time ago, for some reason.
