Pats are 3-1 verses these five playoff contenders and therefore own tie breaker advantages against Denver, Cincy, Indy.....but not KC....so lets take a look at KC's schedule
@ Oakland
Denver
@ Arizona
Oakland
@ Pittsburgh
San Diego
............................Four playoff contending teams....and a Division 4 team (twice)
KC is a team to be feared. Second best defense (points given up). Plus 70 points (points for/points against)

On Offense.....

4th....yds rushing
1st....rushing TDs
31st...passing yds
Tied 28th ...passing TDs

On Defense

8th .....total yds
1st......total yds passing
26th.....total yds rushing

Beyond the beat down KC inflicted on NE early in the season.....based on the stats above, NE does not match up that well vs KC's strengths and vice versa.
NE's secondary strength is not all that important against a team that barely passes.
KC's secondary strength aligns well vs NE's passing game.

Losses to Tenn, Denver, San Fran.
Current 5 game win streak

A future game that may never happen.......I would prefer NE not have to rematch KC...especially on the road.

KC reminds me of the Giants of 2011. They're strong against the pass but weak against the run. If we see them down the road we should run the ball more. The pass-happy stuff won't work against them.

The Giants of 2011 sucked across the board, they just match up really well against NE for some reason, be it personnel, strategy, etc. Even more so if a HOF caliber player spent media week in a walking boot.

So far this year they have looked very Superbowl-esque.

Who, the Giants? I agree, they're currently playing about as well as they did in their SB seasons which is absolutely disgusting. They just finally have the proper record to depict it.

Kind of amazing that both teams from last year's NFC championship game are presently on the outside looking in.
