If Belichick were to leave tomorow, who would you want running the team?

Quite right, most would change what we have.

Dante as interim coach (there are no other choices).

Candidates: #1) Charlie Weiss (but he has a better job)
#2) Pees
#3) Mangini

What a crappy hypothetical. All those coaches would screw up what we've got going. This is a Golden Age for the Patriots.

McDaniels, maybe... in like ten years.

Until McDaniels is ready for it, my choice would be Jessica Simpson. I think the team would play for her.

RAC with Weis second. I don't buy that Weis has a better job in ND.

Box would obviously take over the Ernie Adams role to NEM's Belichick role.
Show me the money!

I would Say Charlie Weis, no one one else, maybee Kirk Lefrenz

If only because we've missed the NEM rants - even after the Offense owned games - Weis. After that, Ferentz or Saban.

Interesting a lot of votes for Pees and nothing for McDaniel, who seems to be the ultimate BB clone.. Ferentz or Hill, most of the rest of the guys are under contract and we don't want to give up a draft pick or some form of compensation for them. I really like Dante, but I think in the past he said he was not interested.

Timing is everything; Charlie Weis has got to a win a Championship at ND (and the early signs are very good) but after he's got one, why wouldn't he want a shot at head coach in the NFL? Particularly somewhere he knows he has good owners.

Charlie Weis first and foremost needs to watch his health.

If he were to leave tomorrow I'd jump off the Tobin Bridge. Kidding---partially. I can't think of anyone else honestly I'd be confident enough to turn this team over to. Once you've had the best it's hard to settle for anything else.
