    Well, yeah, diagnosed.

Friend of mine opened the car door right into my noggin last weekend. Nice cut, a little blood, saw a couple of shooting stars. I think I said, "Hong Kong Phooey," which was a cartoon from 4 decades ago. But then I was fine. Probably had a concussion but I didn't go to a Dr or the emergency room. That's life. Gisele wants me to quit lining up against car doors so I'm retiring from that but don't blame her.

I'd go further. I think all or most football players experience some level of concussion (micro to full blown) every year if not every game. The problem is that there is a catch 22 in all of this. If Brady or any player gets dinged during a game but is still able to perform at an efficient level how does he "self evaluate" himself to determine whether or not he has a concussion that warrants being taken out of a game? If he reports to a member of the medical staff and states "I think I have concussion like symptoms" they will have no choice but to sit him for at least a play if not the rest of the game. So what does a player do? He plays through micro level concussions because there isn't anyway he will be able to self evaluate how severe the last ding truly was.

The problem for the NFL is that although they may be able pull severely concussed players from the field they will not stop the true cause of CTE which are the numerous micro concussions a player endures throughout his career.

IMO, if the NFL truly cared about CTE or concussions they would dramatically expand the rosters (which would take money out of the owner's pockets), ensure that there is at least 7 days between games (add multiple bye weeks to the schedule) and truly invest in CTE research instead of paying off exponent type organizations to say what they want them to say.

Funny you should ask. I was sitting at a bar less than two hours ago and talked to a few people about that exact thing. We all agreed that it was a foregone conclusion that no official would pull Brady in that situation, even if it was a regular season game.

@mosslost Turns out that I was confusing you with another member. Please accept my sincere apology. I thought I was responding to a guy in his early 20s that I had some rapport with. Wouldn't have responded like that had I not confused you with another. Have a good weekend. :)

Not to get too far OT, but, that bacon can't be as good as the pizza that I had for lunch. Perfectly thin crust pizza with a little fig jam spread on the dough and topped with mascarpone and gorgonzola cheeses and a few slices of prosciutto. I can only describe it in 3 words. Oh my God.

Why do NYers think that they invented pizza?

I also used to think that pizza was just cheese and sauce, and in Italy it might be. But the combination of sweet, salty and cheesy is phenominal and if I were you I wouldn't knock it until I tried it. YYYUUUMMM!!!

You eat your pizza with jam? Are you proud of that? Are you proud of the example that you're setting?

    Christ I'm hungry....

There is a restaurant in Ogunquit, Me named Conerstones that serves pizza exactly as you describe except they cut the figs like olives and put them on the pizza. You have a choice of meat and instead of bacon or procuitto I choose the pulled pork and add carmelized onions. Outside on the patio with a Stella makes it dining nirvana

And if any of us out here, myself included, claims to know whether or if either one of those is the case, that too is bad.

Love Ogunquit. There used to be a place about 300 yards up from the center named the Yellow Monkey. About 10-12 years ago my wife and I were up there in October and we ventured into this place on Halloween night about 8:30 pm for a drink. Holy shit! We were the only straight people in there. There were guys in wedding gowns, etc. and other costumes. The band was great, we danced all night and drank like wild goats. SOB, it was a great night! Great company, great musicd and cold beer. It was spectacular.

Interesting. Was the agreement that they wouldn't pull any QB or just a high profile guy like Brady or, for the purpose of discussion, Rodgers?

OGT is great. My father in law lives up there full time (he's straight) and we are there pretty much the entire summer.

Yea you really can't have a good time up there if you are a homophobe.

There is a great sports bar up rt 1 in Wells about 5 min north of OGT. Was just there for G6 of Celts/Wiz

Yeah, nice town. Used to drive up from UNH to run the beach and marginal way. Even then there were a lot of men in small speedos hanging out, so to speak. First couple of times up there I thought they were French Canadians, not that there is anything wrong with that.
