Whoa now. Hes not anything amazing but I'll take him.

33 catches in 04
37 catches in 05

Nice pickup

Damn, we don't need no stinking WR.

he is good im loving it and will probably do good here in new england!

He has a seriously good YPC for his career, hopefully he's smart too as he needs to learn the playbook quickly.

From scouts:

He is an excellent overall athlete for the position. He has very good speed - flashes some explosiveness in his game. He has shown a lot of big flair when given chances to make plays. He shows solid hands. He shows the ability to pluck quickly on timing routes. He has a wide catch radius - has long arms to extend and catch outside his frame. He shows the toughness to go over the middle - will come inside and catch on slant routes. Shows good hips to get out of his cuts - solid route runner that is very effective on double moves. Can leap and attempt to high point the ball down field - good body control. He gives solid blocking effort.

6'2, 215 lbs.

How fast is he?

Gabirel is very good. I saw this kid play for UCF his whole career and I thought he shoiuld have been drafted much higher.

He is solid but he was behind guys with egos and a rep in Oakland.

He played behind Moss, Jerry Rice and Porter.

He's a great #2. Instant upgrade.

He also has FANTASTIC hands.

he was a KR in '04.

a nice big target for Brady too.

Not to nit pick but he played at UCF not S. Miss. In any event, I like it. Nice pick up

I like it a lot. He seems like a talented guy who, as mentioned above, was stuck behind some serious egos in OAK. He's big, pretty fast, and seems to have good hands, from the few times I've seen him. He's an excellent replacement for David Givens, would probably give the same as Givens but with more speed.

And the Patriots won in '04 with Givens and no Branch for most of the year.

The Patriots will *never* get caught without a backup plan.

I saw a little of him in preseason this year and thought he looked pretty good. Interesting trade. I know he's good on special teams too.

He has the potential to be pretty damn good IMO.

Guess we won't go after Charles Rogers now.
