Imagine being stuck with Antonio Brown and Jalen Ramsey for 6 months. Next season is as good as gone.

Yup our dead cap money is this year and then we have a ton of $ in open cap room after this season. Belichick is a friggin genius (with his right hand Ernie Adams). But we knew that.

Maybe not but that would be driven purely by money, not because they're dimwitted science deniers that believe in crackpot hoax conspiracies.

Scientists are trained to explain things, that's what science does. We ask scientists to extrapolate their explanations into predictions, and then get irritated at them when they say things we don't like. Instead, we should appreciate that they are willing to do things that they aren't trained to do, because we need their service.

Fauci is as straight-up, serious, honest person as you'll find in public service and he's become tarnished (to some) because his suggestions about public policy are inconvenient.

    Nope

This clown has been all over the map on the virus. In February Fauxi told everyone that there is nothing to worry about. Then, 2 million Americans could perish. When that prediction blew up then, it was 200,000 dead. Snowflakes are not too concerned about all the thousands of rioters gathering all over the country. But watch out for the NFL.

Frankly, I can't see an NFL season happening this year, and definitely not with fans in attendance. Every time a sport tries to open, somebody tests positive. See the Bruins, Cowboys and Texans. Football is the "most contact" sport of them all. Are the players really going to put their own lives (and those of family members whom they will carry the virus home to) at risk? Are they going to wear cloth face masks under their helmets? I just don't see it happening.

The sky is falling every other minute is getting old. I applaud the NFL for trying to move ahead with this season. If it fails then so be it. Time to give it a try. Can't all sit at home for the next 4-years and live off the government....

They will if it affects them in their pocketbooks. Suppose they open the game up, even without fans, and a player tests positive, infects the whole team before they know what is happening, and somebody's mother who they had dinner with after the game gets COVID and dies?

Fauci may be wrong about a lot of things (you try predicting how a virus that has never been seen before will spread), but the science seems pretty clear that the way this thing is spread is by close contact (breathing distance) for an extended period of time with an infected person. A football game is a prime breeding ground for COVID if even one person is infected, on either team or sideline. Don't even get me started on the fans. The seats aren't even big enough for my ample ass never mind putting even six inches (instead of 6 ft.) between the guy next to me. And have you ever stood like sardines, 50 people deep, trying to get into Gillette Stadium for kickoff? Again, fuggetaboutit. Although that has not stopped the Patriots from reminding me that my payment for my season tickets is due by the end of the month. The owners know they aren't playing; they just have to get everybody's money before they announce it.

Never thought about that one. Krafty needs his money, THEN cancels the season. UGH. We already paid. Hope we have a season. Hoping this is less of an issue that it is made out to be. Hoping for some sort of treatment sooner rather than later. Can't live scared for the rest of time.

Professional soccer has started back up. All the sports will. These athletes are at a minuscule risk from the virus, test them and keep going. Packed stadiums may not be an option, and my guess is lots of testing will be involved, non players wearing masks, the other silly stuff that goes along with everyting.

Now that they are finally working hard to keep the disease out of nursing homes and the numbers of deaths are dropping way down, the narrative has switched from deaths to infections. Of course now we are finally able to start testing large numbers of people, and we are finding out that more people have it, people who have no idea they have or had it, so the media is pumping those numbers.

Glad to see a majority has come around to the lunacy of the lock downs. I dream man made global warming as an existential threat comes next.
