that was expected to at least be a concern after we found out he had surgery in that knee

That's really a shame. I don't wish injuries on anyone. Plus, I like to try to beat the Dolphins when we both have full squads.

Yeah, that really is a shame...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................oh sorry, I'm just waiting for Aqua to chime and and say he is not worried and Porter will be fine. And Spacecrime, you are dead wrong about Ginn; our boy Aqua insists Ginn is a threat to take it to the house (hip 70's lingo) everytime he touches the ball...........LMFAO, great pick.............

Dolphins' Porter to have knee examined after missing practice.

In a related article, Dolphins front office personnel are having their heads examined for acquiring Porter and Green, and drafting Ginn.

Yep, acquired a pure leader/great pass rusher. Picked up a good QB who protects the ball, and drafted a game changer on the offense and special teams. Man, how dumb!

Porter already had surgery and will miss most of the pre-season. Should be ready to go by week 1.

Nothing like a highly paid LB with a bum knee to ruin things even more for the dolphins :singing:

Green will have to worry about protecting his head, more than the ball.

PAY YOUR BET,OR BE BANNED. :rocker:

The Dolphins picked up a 80 year old quarterback and A guy that a smart organization like the Steelers decided was not worth investing more into and a specials teams player as a #1 pick - Really Smart:rolleyes: :bricks:

Or a 37 year old veteran leader who has throw for 4000 yards 3 or the last 4 seasons, a linebacker who is one of two to ever record 60 sacks and 10 picks, and a specialist that can make plays on offense and special teams.

So is Tom Brady invincible in terms of being hurt? Pretty sure all NFL players are at risk.

Aqua you got 2 OLD HAS BEENS on that team..2 guys that respectable organizations like Pitt and KC said "go ahead you can have him"

Not to mention an unproven rookie who is primarily a kick returner and already you got him mentioned in the same breath as a Jerry Rice type clone:rolleyes:

I think you get dumber by the second. When did I call him Jerry Rice? My god, I'm starting to this is Patspride's 2nd screen name.

Joey will be ready for the season. He doesn't need the preseason. With the contract they gave him they had to be aware of his physical ailments.

You make more spelling errors than the mistake your daddy made the night you were conceived

Aqua Quote "I'm starting to this" - WTF does that mean?

Are you ******ed and can't type or spell and call me stupid?
(Sorry to put down all ******s across the nation,Aqua is worse)

Being a Dallas fan, was hoping Jerry and Wade could court him here 'cuz 1) His leadership skills are outstanding, and 2) He's probably the only one with balls to stand up to TO.

That's really a shame. I don't wish injuries on anyone. Plus, I like to try to beat the Dolphins when we both have full squads.

Injuries are so much a part of the NFL, they almost become part of strategy and gameplanning.

Joey Porter is a stud and agme changing linebacker. If he's out with an injury, I am happy because it improves our chnces of winning against the Fish.

You don't think Fish fans would be happy if one of our defensive gamebreakers - Seynour, Thomas, Bruschi, Harrison - was out with an injury against them?

Hell yeah, they would!

And they'd be justified and correct!

Joey Porter, please have that knee flair up you on Sunday, Oct. 21 around 1pm and then again on Sunday, Dec. 23!

Oh, and ask Jason Taylor and Zack Thomas if they like sitting out those same days!

PFT is reporting that the knee has already been scoped and he will be ready for the first game..

SOURCE SAYS PORTER HAS BEEN 'SCOPED

In response to our item from earlier on Sunday, in which we mentioned that we recently received a tip that Miami linebacker Joey Porter already has had arthroscopic surgery on his ailing right knee, a league source says that Porter has indeed undergone the procedure, and that he's likely out until the regular season opens.

It's unclear why the team would be concealing Porter's condition at this point. On Saturday, coach Cam Cameron indicated that the knee was still being evaluated.

The Dolphins signed Porter in March to a contract that pays him $20 million in guaranteed money. Other teams believe based on his performance in 2006 that Porter's best days are in his behind. Right next to that bullet hole.

Jerry Porter in 2007 = Daunte Culpepper in 2006. El Busto Gigante

Porter was never great to begin with, good i would say but a great linbacker he was not imo! And Green without question is a good upgrade from what they have seen the last decade, but it will be all for nothing if that o-line is unchanged which will also effect the amount of games green plays, he doesnt have many more hard sacks left in him as his head has already taken a beating in his carear.:bricks:

As far as ginn i dont care what he does, a top ten pick on a special teams player is a pathetic choice, not saying ginn is garbage but for the needs the phins had they should of spent that pick somewhere else.
