I guess this is how everything gets so divided...now I feel like I’m “on the left” instead of in my own space. I don’t like it. But it’s the only place I can be in response to the terrible reasoning and misinformation from the Trump cult.

Wish you guys would be reasonable like @robertweathers . Your GOP beliefs are not under attack. Your insane fight against reality is.

"Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) said that 'the state will help cities enforce restrictions on social interaction designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus, but he won’t allow them to impose stay-at-home orders,' the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reports."

Local control is best, unless we disagree with what you're doing in which case you can suck it.

The rest of the pandemic will now be this and about how many really died. It's pathetic people trying to disprove this or say they would have died anyways..don't report it.

Sure np, but they can't even get the applications in, you think they can track all of that? Anyway this has zero bearing on this thread.

What part of that do people have a problem with?? If I have inoperable cancer and I get shot in the head on my way to sign my will - what did I die of?

I mean it. I’m a hospice patient. I fully expect to die from my illness. Everyone else expects me to die from my illness. However, if I somehow catch this virus and die from complications of it - then damn it - I did NOT die from my old familiar disease. It may have been a factor to my inability to fight off Covid but it was NOT the cause. Covid would be the cause.

Which liberal networks/pundits are downplaying the seriousness of COVID?

I come here mostly for @Brady_to_Moss 's @Nunchuck 's and @Ice_Ice_Brady 's posts. The amount of fear displayed by them is highly entertaining.

Fear is a beautiful aroma that arouses me.

If anything, it's the opposite. Hundreds of people per day have been dying at home in NYC, more than twice the normal rate - around 400/day vs <200. It's safe to assume these are due to CV. Unless the patient had previously been determined to have CV, these are not being counted as CV because they're not testing deceased people who didn't get to the hospital.

The world's response to any outbreak, whether Covid-19, SARS or other, includes factoring the modeled death rates. The response also factors our past trials and errors in handling those death rates. I'm assuming there is some level of consistency in data gathering. While lumping in deaths that could have been caused by the comorbidities rather than the virus itself creates noise in the data, the data can still be of high value when determining a course of action as proven by how that data helped us handle previous outbreaks.

If flu deaths data in the past had the potential for over-counting, but used the same methodology as being used for Covid-19 counting and the rate of growth for Covid-19 deaths is 2x that of the flu, doesn't the noise cancel out in determining our course of action?

    Regards,
    Chris

DO you have a link for that claim, with pics preferable about trailers being used to store bodies? Based on the number of fatalities that seems a bit farfetched.

Sooner if you do direct deposit...although I've seen no information in terms of how that works. Unless it's already in file in your IRS account online...but I've been wondering the same thing.

So much of this is political

If you love Trump- deaths are being over reported and testing access is best in the world
If you hate Trump- deaths are being underreported and tasing availability early on was screwed up by CDC, FDA and Trump

We will not know the facts for another couple of years until the inevitable congressional commission completes its report

The thread is about anything related to COVID19

And how our economy can function is as important as any other aspect.

I guarantee we won’t remain in lockdown mode for months and doing this the rest of the year isn’t possible

I can vouch for that one, they showed that on the news report the other night and there were videos circulating on Twitter showing them outside the hospital in NYC.

    EDIT, LINK ADDED:
