Cuomo just announced they have enough beds and ventilators. How about even a slight hat tip to the President and Vice President and the flood of resources they poured into New York? Nothing.

    Not quite

So we know we can do weekly testing as many nations have. So that’s the starting point.

How are people in other nations paying for tests?
How are people getting tested now paying for them?

Why don’t we limit discussion to how we can do weekly testing.

Especially knowing that Corp America will be a big winner/benefitor of deafeating this virus

My company is benefiting tremendously from this virus. But it’s not something we’re celebrating

Alcohol sales up 50%, wonder how many victims of domestic violence are paying a price also.

The funny thing is, the guy posts a link to an article where Cuomo credits Trump, and then later in the very same thread posts a link to a tweet whining that Cuomo hasn't credited Trump.

Which is curious, because you even admitted yourself that there's absolutely zero evidence whatsoever that the president isn't doing exactly that. So, taking into account that you have zero evidence whatsoever, you're still deciding to assign judgment no matter what. That's called an agenda. Said agenda is born out of partisanship. The president is rEpUbLiCaN, so it all sucks. Placing all of the blame on the governors is the correct way to go because that's what the constitution spells out. Governors control quarantining their own states. They have the final say. The federal government does not have that oversight for good reason. State quarantines, as such, are not the president's business and blaming him for it is beyond brain dead. I'd advise you to move on. This is not a winnable debate for you. As a matter of fact, you're getting crushed and I'm taking it relatively easy on you out of courtesy. Concentrate on debates you have a better chance of winning. There's bound to be more of them.

Death rates likely being underreported, ot not reported at all in some states. Still no freakin tests.

Coroners worry Covid-19 test shortages could lead to uncounted deaths

Jill Romann, the coroner in Douglas County, Colorado, was so desperate for coronavirus tests that she began calling hospitals in the middle of the night to avoid management, begging whoever was on duty for one or two test kits.

Her total collection reached about 13 before the hospitals caught on and shut her down.

She asked the state health department for help getting the tests needed to determine whether deaths were linked to the virus. But she said the agency told her it was not providing them to coroners because it was prioritizing the tests for the living. She hasn't been able to get the supplies she needs from private labs either.
"If you die in my county, I will not know if you died of Covid-19," Romann said. "I will, however, be able to tell if you legally smoked pot."

Other death investigators are equally frustrated and worried about coronavirus deaths being missed. A coroner in Wyoming, the only state that still hasn't reported any deaths due to the virus, said he seriously doubts its official death count, and told CNN he hasn't been able to test a number of suspected cases. And an Ohio coroner said she believes at least four deaths in her county have already been left uncounted.

Every day Cuomo is prodded to take shots at Trump and he steadfastly refuses to play the political blame game, even if it's in the back of his mind. He is doing the right thing for his state, focusing on the facts, preparing for worst-case scenarios, and being a straight shooter. And no, I have never been a Democrat, though the anti-science lean of the current administration really grinds my gears.

I’d kinda like to respond to this by telling you how much Donald Trump, Paul McCartney, Robert DiNero, Bobby Orr, Bill Belichick, Raquel Welch, Bruce Springsteen, Clarence Thomas, etc., say “Thank you,” but you’re a few steps lower than I feel like stooping today, so I won’t.

I am not going to assign a specific date, but I believe things will reopen when we reach the point where the answer to the above question is (B).

I just hope after all is said and done this country takes a look in the mirror and figures out a way to step up and actually prepare for when the next pandemic hits so we aren't scrambling around like a HS kid waking up 5 min before the bus comes
