I'm not sick of talking about it.........huge difference from being sick of the virus itself, but I shouldn't expect you to know the difference

nobodies attacking you........just pointing out what's nonsense......

Essentially, economists say, there won’t be a fully functioning economy again until people are confident that they can go about their business without a high risk of catching the virus.

“Our ability to reopen the economy ultimately depends on our ability to better understand the spread and risk of the virus,” said Betsey Stevenson, a University of Michigan economist who worked on the White House Council of Economic Advisers under President Barack Obama. “It’s also quite likely that we will need to figure out how to reopen the economy with the virus remaining a threat.”

I want this to be the case as much as anyone. Staying home and hearing about little else other than the virus is soul draining. It’s good that deaths are going down in some places so consider me cautiously optimistic.

The outbreak in northeast will slow but I do think the South is going to get ****ed. Poor leadership regarding the virus and the worst health care systems in the country. The slow response down there will kill lots of people and also screw everyone else in the country who needs to stay locked down because a few governors didn’t want to temporarily shutter the churches and beaches.

Right, but you KNOW if NY shows declines for a few days in a row, many will begin planning reopening things.

I've already accepted we're going to experience another large increase weeks later and then hear, "No one could have expected this."

I wouldn't exactly consider Baker's job that great either. Local Western MA media was even worse, they were downplaying it into early March.

Baker waited too long to push the shelter in place......should have happened 7-10 days sooner

beyond that, he's done a very good job

NY, and probably even cities like Boston, Chicago, Philly n LA need to create their own emergency alert/response teams.

Heck maybe even work together on it.

These places will almost always be hit first in situations like this. They can't rely on the federal government to react in time and supply useful data.

    Zero cases?

Now that'd be awesome. But... think seems too good to be true.

    Yes

I think some people are so rabid in their hatred of the current administration they are secretly disappointed the whole country doesn’t look like NYC
