Curran:NFL in Raw is not a pretty sight

Still even he adds the texts look bad. Stradley dismisses them.

The more I read the more I am convinced that the NFL was convinced of Brady's "guilt" from the onset and the narrative had to fit that conclusion..

How can a credible investigator, Wells, rely on his 40 years of experience rather than on objective criteria.. and they paid millions for his opinion???..

“I did reject it based on my assessment of his credibility and his refusal or decision not to give me what I requested in terms of responsive documents. And that decision, so we can all be clear and I will say it to Mr. Brady, in my almost 40 years of practice, I think that was one of the most ill-advised decisions I have ever seen because it hurt how I viewed his credibility.”

I don't think the NFL was convinced of anything because it didn't matter to Kensil, Pash and Grigson. They already had the narrative before the event took place with the sole purpose of bringing down the Pats or anyone and anything associated with the team that they could. We all know this was a set-up from the start. I was convinced of this from day one.

You answered your own question.....just remove the question marks from the second sentence...

You are right that they paid for what they wanted, but Wells had to be told what the "right" answer was at the outset. After the Colts illegally gauged the intercepted "small" ball, the fanatical conviction of Kensil, Pash, Vicent, Gardi et al. was a runaway freight train. Crystal clear example of rush to judgment by those in charge of due process and why Goodell's governance is fatally flawed.

I wonder how far back the sting goes. Why would Sullivan send an email to Grigson rather than just telling/calling him. If the Ravens were concerned why didn't they contact the NFL? The email from Grigson stinks of staged wording and CYA weasel words.

IMHO, the whole thing started in the NFL offices. Raven's GM *****ed to Kensil after he was smarting from the lose and Kensil set it up.

Step 1 - Raven's drop word to Colts equipment guy that the Pats mess with the balls
Step 2 - create an official team email that outlines the concerns so Grigson has something on the record to take to NFL
Step 3 - Grigson sends official email to NFL to voice concerns to start the ball rolling
Step 4 - NFL gets memo, replies to cover their arses
Step 5 - get the right people on the ground to put the sting in place
Step 6 - do NOT let anyone outside of the Colts/NFL FO know anything is going on
Step 7 - wait for the Colts to voice a concern during the game
Step 8 - deflategate

I can see why the NFL wanted a confidentiality agreement for this appeal. Not that there was too many bombshells, but because people would see how the NFL "brain" trust are a bunch of idiots and a-holes.

No he doesn't. He's quoting Wells

@RayClay @shmessy Please read. And delete your comment. Smessy delete your dislike. From the article.

"Fast and loose with the truth. All of them (and I would include Brady and the Patriots in that because I do not disagree with Ted Wells that those texts look bad)."
