Connor is lucky the ref stopped it.. He put up a valiant effort going into a legends domain and fighting his heart out... He used a lot of odd angles and managed to get some shots on mayweather that most fighters struggled to do.. they didn't do any damage, but he did land shots and faught a respectable fight

That is the narrative and it's a good one... if the ref let that fight continue, Connor would have been embarrassed and people would have a much different narrative about the fight... He was a wounded animal and you could clearly see Mayweather thoroughly dominating him and going in for the kill at that point

He's very fortunate the ref stopped the fight

Well it went the way we wanted it. I mean come on. We all know Floyd never took a fight he didn't know you was at an absolute advantage. 50-0 is impressive but the way he went about it was rather slimy IMO.

Dodging certain fighters are certain times to keep his precious record intact. That to me keeps him from being top 10 all time. I would rather you fight 3 crazy hard fights and go 2-1 in them then wait around for people to get old or something and go 3-0.

He is back. Making some cryptic comment that saying he lost the bet is an interesting take in the contest.

Sounds like he is going to try to Welch on you by saying it was fixed or something.

In the game day thread he was trolling everyone by 1) offering another 2k bet (taking the Patriots -9, which would now have $4k in the hole); and 2) explaining that McGregor actually won him the bet through various explanations that obviously make no sense at all.

He is a loser. @Ian this guy Fourier series needs to be banned.
He bet 2k with another poster on mcgregor and is welching. And flaunting it. We don't need losers like that around here.

Yeah, trolling as a means of dealing with the loss of a decent sized bet that was made in a public "take-all-comers" fashion and supported by a ton of arrogant **** talk that turned out to be embarrassingly wrong is pretty reminiscent of middle school.

I couldn't care less if he's banned or not though. His credibility is 0. If anything, Ian should revoke permission to update his profile while changing his avatar to

    upload_2017-9-8_11-30-9.jpeg

and updating his forum signature in some way to succinctly summarize his recent actions.

If I am not mistaken he also appealed to @BaconGrundleCandy that he was a man of his word and could be trusted to pay off if he loses. He is trying to say he didn't lose because the winner isn't who wins but who he thinks wins.

According to him, the Patriots actually won last night, 42-27. Now that he's suspended, I'm now looking forward to FiveierSeries or DFT showing up as a "new poster" and displaying that same, massive inferiority complex that we've all grown to know and love from that broke loser.

Just catching up on this thread. Mayweather literally (and I mean literally) could have ended the fight at any time.

Despicable. Well, glad I un-ignored him before this went down so I could watch it with my own eyes. As I like to say, if you are an a-hole on the internet, don't fool yourself -- you are an a-hole.

I've been going through re-reading this thread. So much gold. How many times did we see this:
@BaconGrundleCandy, obviously the smartest guy in the room, tried to have the bet go through a third party who would hold the money so nobody could welsh. Shocking that FS never took him up on it.

    OK I'll stop.
