You guys think one of Deebo Samuel, Kelvin Harmon and AJ Brown are worth targeting in the second round if they fall? Or should we try to grab a free agent like Golden Tate or Tyrell Williams (meh)?

Yes to both ideas, although that’s a bit of a random name to pull out for potential free agents. Here’s the list:

2019 NFL Free Agents Tracker

CP went 21 for 247 this year as our 5th WR.

Our 5th WR production in prior years:
17 - Britt 2/23
16 - Floyd 4/42
15- Dobson 13/141
14 - Thompkins 6/53
13 - Boyce 9/121

So Patterson puts up numbers that are more than 40% higher production than our best 5th WR had in the last 6 years. Add to the fact he seems to be a decent fill-in RB (5.4 avg in 227 yards) and is an elite KR guy and you dont think he is "fine" as a 5th WR?

Once again, simple facts disagree with you.

Eh

Patterson's receiving numbers are misleading. He's got those passes that are really just QB drops in lieu of handoffs on the sweeps.

But WR5 is not something that BB usually worries about, because he utilizes either TEs or RBs as that 5th receiver in empty sets. We've usually seen the WR5 scenarios when there have been injuries or a lot of new additions, such as 2013. This year, it would likely be because of new additions, at least at the start.

I was waiting for that to come up. Sure, that is true but it dosent take away from the fact that a 5th WR in this system maybe has to catch a dozen balls a year and seeing how good he was at RB and is an elite KR guy I would be thrilled to have him as a #5 guy.

No catch

He did not control the ball before it hit the ground. Pats got away with one. KC was holding so screw them.

Hogan must be Irish.

He got lucky on that NO catch.

I'd rather grab Chris Conley, draft Deebo Samuel and re-sign CP and Dorsett.

Samuel
Edelman
Conley
Dorsett
