Chandler Jones is 5th in the league in QB pressures

Jones is due for a sack or two this weekend with the way his sacks have come this season.
I'm not sure there's too many rookie DE's who are consistently double teamed thanks to their ability to wreak havoc.

For a while Chandler seemed to have DROTY in command....is he still leading the pack?

I know Irvin was playing pretty well for the Hawks

He's a situational rusher playing in a talented D. No way in hell is he deserving.

DROTY is a 2 horse race for me - Chandler Jones & Casey Hayward.

Jones is probably just ahead now for his rookie of the month and being "in the running" when Hayward won it last month.

PFF just also put out a piece on why they think Wilfork sucks this season.

But.. but.. Jones was more NFL ready and Coples will outplay him in the years to come..

lololol

i forgot about coples...a guy who can't play every down

I'm a little worried about Kuechly catching up to Chandler for the award. The guy's been an absolute stud.

10 tackles?? Nope.

As for the sacks- 1. Bruce has played in one more game than Chandler.
2.Aldon Smith had, what, 4 more sacks than Von Miller last year?? Von still won it anyways, didn't he??

Chandler Jones leads all rookie defensive linemen in:

Tackles
Forced Fumbles
Tackles for Loss

He trails Bruce Irvin by 1 in sacks, but Irvin has played 1 more game.

Pretty nice start for a low first-round pick. :)

I wish he had some real pass rushing help on the other side...

...or up the middle, instead of Wilfork and/or Love;
...or from our LBs who can't cover anyway;
...or from our DC, who just dials-up the same old, same old.

Talib & Hayward at CB, with McCourty at FS...not a bad start.
Too bad that Hayward was out of our reach during the draft.

We got Dennard and Ebner and Bequette instead of Hayward, that's aa pretty good trade off for me. BB gets a lot of critisism for drafting, but he already drafted on DROY, drafted another who came in 2nd in DROY voting and was all-pro his rookie year, and looks like he'll draft another DROY.

Bruce Irvin is 25?? Yikes, how did that happen?

We have some pretty good and extremely young impact players on the team right now. There's only one guy whose straw stirs the drink, but we've been adding some quality ingredients lately. Makes me feel a bit more optimistic looking forward.
