More a malcontent than toast. I would look at him if he has an OK attitude unless we're OK with Bolden as the backup "big back". We're thin there if Jonas gets hurt.

"Last week, Tate noted he'd "be lying" if he said the Browns' three-back rotation was satisfying to him. He added, however, he was willing to do "whatever the organization thinks is best."
After Sunday's game he initially declined comment to reporters: "Why do you want to talk to me? I didn't play a down."

Isn't Josh Gordons suspension up now? Tate hasn't done much in Cleveland, they had two other rooke RBs that had more yards than him this season. So I could see why they would cut Tate for Gordon.

Edit: The post above mine points to attitude problems with Tate, that he didn't want to be part of a commite. So could really see why they would cut him to make room for Gordon. No need to have a diva as your 3rd string RB.

If he has problems playing in a commite then we probably couldn't even get him to go on a flight to Foxborough.

Why would Denver need a starting RB? It's not as if Peyton is going to hand off the ball.

(Fun fact: the Broncos rank #31 in the league in percentage of rushing plays. The only team below them is the Raiders, who have no choice because they're constantly playing from double-digit deficits. Denver, obviously, has a choice.)

I never understood why Cleveland gave Tate a descent contract. Last year, Tate looked unathletic / old / beat up. Combine that now with an attitude problem. Guess his perennial back up role has soured the dude

Tate has to go through waivers. Let's hope a team lower in the waiver wire order than the Colts or Broncos put in a claim.
