Julian Edelman doesn't tend to get the credit and respect he deserves around the league, but one former player took notice in a recent ESPN segment, putting him ahead of some notable names which created some controversy.

    Oh they definitely have.

Anheuser-Busch brands - Wikipedia = Anheuser-Busch's list of acquired craft beer labels. Also note that AB makes Shocktop, Goose Island & Landshark.

MillerCoors - Wikipedia = MillerCoors makes Leinenkugel, Blue Moon and a few other smaller ones as well.

The 3rd largest beer conglomerate, Constellation Brands, recently paid (late 2015) $1bn for Ballast Point which I believe was preparing to have it's IPO around that same time. Ballast Point is a very legit San Diego craft beer maker - pretty cool to see them get so much money in the sale. Their beer has still been really good since 2016 onward.

Yup. I know that all to well! Been going down to Vegas yearly since I was 21. For 10 years me and my buddies would go down but now we are going to Scottsdale. Still head down to Vegas yearly with my wife.

People are just now finally discovering that Bud, in fact, unlike the Patriots, sucks and has always sucked.

Budweiser falls off the list of America's three favorite beers

But James Busch Orthwein, wherever he is, retains solace in the knowledge that his precious Bud beer bottle logo/label remains intact and virtually the same as it has since 1876.

Unlike the Patriots', which he saw fit to destroy after being here five minutes.

I mostly drink west coast IPA's...especially living in San Diego. However, I seek out beer with lower IBU's...some of these craft beers have too much IBU and just dries up my mouth.

However, there is a TIME and PLACE for every kind of beer...

100 degrees outside and you are working in the yard....perfect time for an ice cold Coors Light...

100 degrees and you are in the Caribbean and need a follow up to your fruity ****tail...Corona with lime...

Blizzard outside...fire going in the fire place and you have a beard....time for something heavy like Guinness...

Dos Equis is pretty good. No lime needed there. Corona is piss water.

I had a 20 oz. pint of Goose Island at the airport the other day....it was that or Stella Artois or some fruity beer on draft...

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was...proper IBU level...not too dark nor light... went down nicely.

    ===============

BTW, Green Flash is dying out here in San Diego...I really love their Soul Style beer....hope it stays in production...

If we could get the regulation changed to match the rules and processes used in Europe then the overall product would be much better. The difference between a Becks brewed under US law, and one under European is amazing.

    What are the differences??

Here in the U.S., there is a noticeable difference in beers distributed far away from their "Headquarters". For instance, when in St. Louis...a Budweiser really tastes great and amazing....but anywhere else...it blows. I have similar experiences with major San Diego breweries that have a national reach....completely different taste. Whenever I travel to the east coast, I'll go for local beer like Wachusett's blue berry or even Sam Adams (which tastes so-so on the west coast).

If I had to take a guess, my guess is the logistics of transporting beers and them sitting in higher temperatures than room temperature for much of the U.S.

Also, different breweries/distributors who care less about quality, IMO.

I personally like the microbrews caft beers, like most of Smuttynose and Alagash beers out of New Hampshire/Maine

would recommend those to everyone , a bit more pricey than the mexican piss (corona) and Bud mudd (lite and regular)

If you haven't tried this, I highly recommend it. It's not sweet at all, just a hint of blueberry essence that really is refreshing.
