Too much government is a bad thing, but on the flip side too much corporate power/control is also a bad thing

There are areas where capitalism falls on its face, because everything is driven 100% by profit.. every single decision that is made is based on profit margins and appeasing investors

If it's not profitable enough for a company to go around paving roads, then they won't do it, or they'll do a piss poor job of it

Too much government power and you get 1984... too much corporate power and you could get the Lannisters from Game of Thrones in charge

Capitalism is fantastic, but there HAS to be some level of regulations on it.. And you need taxes and government services, because the Jeff Bezos of the world aren't going to pave your roads or build schools out of the goodness of their hearts... And if there was a way to legally pay people 5 cents a day, he would do it because of his "moral obligation" to investors..

There aren't a lot of Vanderbilts left in this world, super rich and powerful people that want to use their money and power to make the world a better place than when they found it.. Elon Musk and Bill Gates are the only ones I can really think of maybe Warren Buffet as well

Most of the people that get to that level of power and wealth dont tend to have personality traits that make them very altruistic.. quite the opposite actually, to become a billionaire you likely have to be quite ruthless and cut throat

The best Nike meme is just going to be a picture of some guy burning his Nikes, with this over top of it:

    Bloomberg Link

Suckers, all of you boycotters. You did exactly what Nike wanted.
