That’s not a new thing, the league already knows that. Much easier said than done. Bucs OL is excellent.

I never said that the Pats would do it. I know it isn't a guarantee. Never guaranteed it. I said it was a positive sign that they lead the league in up the middle pressure and IF they can repeat it tomorrow night they have a chance of shutting down Brady. Never once said it was going to happen. Never said it is likely to happen.

All I did was point out what everyone knows is Brady's biggest weakness and that if the Pats can do it consistently, they have the chance of making him play like crap based on the fact that they currently lead the league in QB pressures up the middle. Nothing outrageous. Nothing controversial. In fact, all I did was speak the obvious.

Not only that, but Brady already knows exactly what Bill will try to do to stop him. He spent 20 years with the man in a room breaking down tape. He knows exactly how he thinks. Nothing will surprise him. This game will come down to execution. If his receivers drop a bunch of balls or deflect passes into the hands of DBs then that's the type of play that can change a game.

You don't think Brady spent countless hours with Bowles telling him how Josh sets up protections based on looks, etc. The advantage here is on Brady over Bill because he's actually on the field of play and can make adjustments on the fly. The information he provides Bowles about McD's offensive schemes is invaluable. He helps the Bucs on both sides of the ball. If you can't see that I don't know what to tell you. Ask Willie McGiness who he thinks has the advantage. Do you think Willie is a "Brady cultist" too just because he's being realistic and reasonable?

I like the enthusiasm but if the pats oc is defeated schematically, there are about 32 defensive coordinators in the league who can do this without needing the goat qb....

Don't understand what you're saying but I said in the GDT thread that it looked like the Saints knew our playbook. They were prepared for everything we did. It was uncanny.

Imagine what the Bucs can do having the inside knowledge of TFB. It still comes down to execution. If the Bucs commit a bunch of dumb penalties and turn over the ball, the Pats have a chance to pull off the upset. The Saints didn't do any of that so they won. Easily.

It's not uncanny. Several here including myself can predict over 2/3 of the plays sitting on our couch just seeing how they line up presnap on tv. I agree with you the oc has very predictable play calling. I'm saying we don't have to credit brady helping the bucs , the whole league already knows what our one trick pony oc is doing on offense. But yea it could be very bad with brady giving tips. Not needed but it won't be good for the pats.

Again, if the Pats’ defenders win the match ups in the middle and put pressure on Brady, what advantage does he have knowing Belichick? That’s my point. The rest of the stuff is irrelevant to this argument.

And the way the Bucs’ defense has played thus far and with JPP and two of their top three CBs out, it will be tough for them to execute to begin with. And Belichick and McDaniels are well versed in Bowles’ defenses. They know their weaknesses and tendencies.

I have said multiple times that I don’t think the Pars will win. I am giving a possible way they might be able to though. Although with Gronk and JPP definitely out, I like the Pats’ chances better. Now the Pats don’t have to double the TE and they have one less of the Bucs’ pass rushers to deal with.

Excellent. Then I’m down to choke off everything in the shallow and intermediate levels of the field. Flood that middle zone and those hooks, let him hold the ball waiting for the deep routes to develop, and smash the f.uck out of him. I do disagree with not disguising coverages though. Just because he’s seen it all doesn’t mean he isn’t prone to the occasional brain fart. We need a turnover or two.

This at the least puts him in unfamilar territory, pushes him out of his comfort zone and could probably make it easier to bait him with disguised coverages. Without Gronk and Bernard, I like our chances now.
