Bad movies that you actually liked alot?

    Here are a few that come off the top of my head.

    1993's "The Pelican Brief" - probably considered John Grisham's weakest film adaptation. However, it's one of my favorite movies, for some reason. Watching these types of movies just makes you feel like truth is stranger than fiction.

    1996's "Jingle All the Way" (Arnold Schwarzenegger/Sinbad Christmas comedy) - was critically panned and not that well liked by audiences when it came out. But for some reason, I get a good laugh every time I watch it.

    1999's "Runaway Bride" - Personally, I'm in the minority of not liking "Pretty Woman" at all, but this reunion of Julia Roberts/Richard Gere/director Gary Marshall did a 180 for me. (and I'm probably in the minority here as well!)

    Freddie Got Fingered. The most warped movie I think I’ve seen. Some real odd and perverse stuff. I remember seeing it with 2 buddies. We were the only ones in the theatre laughing. When we were leaving I heard a girl walking out say it was the worst movie she’s ever seen. I have no idea how the studio execs ok’d that movie.

    Battle Los Angeles (2011)

    A bit cheesy, but it's an action based sci-fi flick so some level of cheesiness is to be expected.

    The 13th Warrior - I'd kill to see an extended edition with all the stuff added back into it. It was cut to shreds after being in development hell, losing a rumored hour or so.

    The Hebrew Hammer - Jewsploitation classic...a Hanukkah must for me.

    My wife cannot make it through the Big Lebowski, but for some reason have seen it like 15 times now.. "I just stopped in to see what condition my condition was in, yea, yea, yea"

    You either love this movie or hate it, imo it shows the cinematic genius of the Cohen Bros.

    The Dude Abides.. he really does.

    You have to see it with the right mindset. If you’re looking for some entertainment without a lot of layers and depth, as I often am, you probably won’t like the movie.

    Same thing with Westworld (Nolan’s brother, in fact.). I got through season one, but after a couple of episodes of season 2, I just decided I don’t have the intellectual hunger for a show that has so many timelines. I can appreciate it’s a very good show but just personally not have a taste for it anymore.
