Saw something yesterday that stuck: "In business, as in most things in life, it is attitude and motivation that outweigh pure skill and knowledge."

To me, that sums up football. It's not usually the team with the greatest talent, or what they know, that makes them winners; it's the desire in their hearts and the willingness to play up to that desire.

Personally, I'd put Tom Brady and Rodney Harrison up as the poster boys for this kind of message.

Brady and Harrison might actually be bad poster children for this message, since they also exemplify skill and knowledge.

The Patriots offensive lineman who used to be a college wrestler, and now is an NFL starter, would be a good poster boy for that statement.

How 'bout Attitude + Motivation + Skill + Knowledge = New England Patriots

They are who they are because they have it all.

The Ravens and the Eagles had the first two in their surprisingly big performances against the Pats this year.
