OK, he was incredibly unfunny and disrespectful of those whose job it is to keep him safe, but seriously ...

This taught me a valuable life lesson. If I ever decide to become a terrorist and blowup a plane...I shouldn't be truthful when asked what's in my suitcase.

He could easily have avoided TSA being stupid by not being an utter moron. But I understand how the TSA can't let even a lame joke pass without reporting the idiot; all it takes is one time being wrong and they're out of a job or worse.

I was once getting on a plane with my boss, who was talking to someone else about a machine we were making. He kept asking whats on the BOM (bill of material). I had to tell him to stop saying BOM because everyone was looking at him.

That is stupid, no doubt, but at least it shows creativity. I think joking about packing explosives to an airport employee is worse.

I made that joke when I was 8 and the TSA gate agent yelled at me. My parents were mortified.

That was pre 9-11. I'm sure these days it would have led to our whole family being searched and questioned.

If it was pre 9/11 that wasn't a 'TSA gate agent' that yelled at you. The TSA was created as part of the response to 9/11

They could have let him on and then have the plane make an emergency landing after he made another joke while in flight.

    Dont people get it?

If youre drunk out of your mind or belligerent on the ground while boarding your axx is off the aircraft.

OK, the security guard whose job it was to look at the bag x-rays, and is affiliated with some organization at the Bangor International Airport circa 1988, yelled at me. Hope that clears up any confusion.

Now the NFL and Packers are deciding whether or not he’s irrelevant enough to cut him and send a message about their societal standards.

well, that joke blew up in his face.

if the packers cut him, the patriots ought to pick him up. he'll always be a long bomb threat.
