All I really care about right now is whether there's any possibility of get-back cap $$$ at the end of this fiasco.

Okay also, if Chad Jackson wants another shot or if Troy Brown thinks he's got something left in the tank... **** it, what is Hart Lee Dykes up to? Hurry-Cane commercials you say? They'll never see it coming!

    What “precedent”??
This is squarely in the Article 46 wheelhouse, so Roger can do pretty much anything he wants. ELing AB in no way forces him to EL some future player in similar circumstances. The Commissioner’s Office isn’t some court that’s bound by its prior decisions, especially in areas governed by the Commissioner’s Article 46 powers.

Yes. It is. But it is based on the NFLs history with the Pats and has the backing of reports that if he signs he will be put on the exempt list.

For some reason I still follow AB on Instagram. I had been on board with bringing him back but no longer. The guy is truly out of his mind, either temporarily or permanently. he definitely fits many of the criteria for bipolar disorder, So perhaps if you can be diagnosed and treated my professional there may still be hope down the road. Ready to watch the Pats roll with the horses that they have.

Those reports state that it’s a possibility *IF* the NFL hasn’t concluded their investigation. Important part there. Why would the NFL drag their feet on that and why would they want to keep a talent like Brown off the field? All that does is lessen their product. And that’s without even considering time served coupled with the fact that the charges against him are flimsy at best.

By keeping AB off the field, you could argue the NFL is looking to minimize damage to their brand.

You could, but the argument would be absent logic.

To show him who’s boss. I mean that is Goodell, right? Not collusion, oh no no no no no, not collusion. It ‘s about who makes the rules of how players move from one team to another.

Why would you want your premier franchise to be seen as cheaters? NFL rarely does logic things. Fortunately for them, they have a can’t fail product no matter how badly they try to fail.

Yea I already said Goodell can do whatever he wants. Why hasn't Goodell Eled Trent Brown who was accussed of assault and battery by his domestic partner in a civil complaint/suit over 3 months ago? In that situation there are actually police reports which don't exist in the AB case. Who is talking about court?

Just because a player is a rock star on the field but has too much volatility and bad press off it, doesn't mean he should be playing and associated with the brand.

I love the 'by all accounts the guy was a great teammate here' narrative. For five days.

Why not? God-given talent and winning puts the asses in those seats. Asses in seats and merchandise sales bring in revenue. Brown accomplishes that. That’s all that matters here. The NFL, after all, put up with Owens and they are currently letting Hill play after all he’s been accused of. If Brown acts up again, they can just as easily suspend him.

You’re saying that you think the biggest sport of them all is going to look the other way when there are two different sexual misconduct accusations and a rumor of a “long suspension?” I’m having a hard time seeing that.

Brown has seen the writing on the wall, which is why he posts stuff on IG about retiring/quitting football/staying away from white women for good.

I mean sure, only 5 days, but there was talk he would instantly poison the lockerroom. For being there such a short time, he managed to ingratiate himself with several players. As much of a basket case as he is, the dude does have a certain amount of charisma. He is also known as a hard worker (during his entire career).

I suppose we can speculate how long it would've taken to poison the lockerroom, but that seems like a waste of time to me.

I think you know why the NFL is not publicly clearing him of any wrongdoing, Kontra. You are making the argument why he should play and that is fine.
