Oh man. Just noticed the similarity to the mock above. It wasn't plagiarism I promise. It is pure coincidence.

One might say it's unrealistic, but I would say it completely depends on how the draft develops.
I have had some mock drafts, where 3-4 TEs were gone in 1st round and still the EDGE and DL where also taken, so you end up with a pick at 32 where you would rather trade down for 2x 2nds and a 5th or similar than take any player availale at that spot as it has more value (at least from my prospective).

Than other mocks went like the above and it was close with all of the first 4 picks i made, one spot later they would have probably been picked infront of me

I'd like to see at least one of these first five players in the Pats' uniform.I have a feeling every year the more often we see a player in our mocks the smaller chances he's got to be chosen by BB.

Big fan of the players, but there's no way that this is remotely possible. Hockenson will go in the 1st, 100%, and and Warring is more likely to go in the 2nd than the 7th. I have a really difficult time with the First Pick simulator because it's so wildly behind the times.

first-pick has an extremely low rating on hockenson....which is why I don't draft him when I try.....

He may indeed go in the first round, but when I watch tape, I have a hard time seeing a first round talent.

Can I ask why? He's got great blocking technique, he runs excellent routes, his hands are good, his run after the catch is superb -- what more do you want to see from him?

I'm envious of all the people obsessed w & that love mocks. As a draftnik I'm genuinely jealous that I can't get into the whole thing.

Definitely enjoy reading them, though I wish they were more accurate w where someone will go.

I get frustrated with the accuracy more than anything. Justin Layne in the 7th? o_O

I enjoy giving myself a few names and positions and seeing if I can get all of them. If I can't, I start asking what's better, my 9th DE and 2nd TE, or bundle a trade for my 5th DE and then take my 6th TE? That's where I have fun with the exercise. It helps me understand how I really feel about different prospects, particularly if I get annoyed to miss out on a player.

By this point, though, I pretty much know who I want (and it won't happen).

No two draft boards are the same. Anybody can ride and anybody can slide.

I noted something similar before, but it bears repeating: right now, if you look at 11–20, most "pro" mockers have 2 to 4 players who won't even be first-rounders.

All mocks have serious flaws i agree with you. If you use fanspeak (Justin Layne is a 3/4 round pick), Giles-Harris is a top 100 talent, Thrysten Hill is a early 3 pick. If you use the mock simultor draftnetwork Tre Lamar, Carl Granderson, OT from Ohio all of them are 6/7 round guys, the boards are too different. I guess the point of using them(simulators) is that some talent will slip and this draft is really deep.
