Never too early, at least on a bye week, to start think about it.

Bill, Tom and Gronk are mortal locks. After that I don't think anybody gets a sniff unless they add a general special teams position in which Slater would probably get the nod or at least major consideration.

The second QB will be interesting. Brees clearly has the bulk stats but his interceptions, W-L record and playoff statistics and records are fairly pedestrian and that's without subtracting for playing 99% of his games in domes or perfect weather. Rodgers has missed a lot of time and when you subtract 2010 he hasn't done **** since in the playoffs.

I have to give Flacco some credit for his playoff stats. For an average QB those are some amazing numbers. BTW 3 of those 4 interceptions are against NE and when they picked him off they won and when they didn't they lost.

Brady's numbers when you factor in interceptions are amazing when compared to the others on the bulk stats during the regular season as is the W-L. Then the playoffs is simply no competition.

Remember when #12 and the 5 & 4 Peyton Manning were mentioned in the same sentence.. glad that myth came to an end.

And really that defense carried him on the victories.

106-28. 13 playoff wins in 8 years (2nd best all time is 16 for a CAREER) Good god, that’s just inconceivable for anyone else.

2nd place in wins is 30 behind reg season + post season

Interesting exercise... Second QB is a tough one. Brees, Rodgers, and Manning all have a claim.

QB T. Brady, D. Brees
RB A. Peterson, L. Bell, L. McCoy
TE R. Gronkowski, A. Gates
WR A. Brown, J. Jones, C. Johnson, L. Fitzgerald
OT J. Thomas, T. Smith, J. Peters
OG M. Yanda, Z. Martin, D. DeCastro
C A. Mack, M. Pouncey

EDGE JJ Watt, V. Miller, C. Wake, K. Mack, D. Ware
DL A. Donald, N. Suh, G. Atkins, F. Cox
NT H. Ngata, V. Wilfork
LB L. Kuechly, P. Willis, B. Wagner, N. Bowman
CB D. Revis, R. Sherman, P. Peterson, C. Harris
S E. Thomas, E. Weddle, E. Berry

K J. Tucker
P J. Hekker
KR C. Patterson
PR J. Edelman
ST M. Slater

Coach B. Belichick

Only a handful of players who would be on both the 2000s and 2010s teams - Brady, Fitzgerald, Gates, Thomas, Ware, Willis.

Biggest takeaway: we need a safety named Eric.

Wonder where we could have found that guy

P. Manning would be an interesting case to make. He set all the records in 2013, but didn't play in 2011 or 2016-2010, and was gimpy for 2015 and some of 2014. Maybe he can be the back up on the 2000 all decade team.

What ex Patriots have a chance to make the team?

Revis? Talib? Chandler Jones? Those are the few I could see feasibly making it.

Maybe he was too old, but Devin Hester for Kick Returns? Looking at his stats, his big yardage years were in 2012-2013.

It is pretty interesting. I would have said Rodgers for certain two years ago, but Brees resurgence will make it very tight.

Ghostkowski deserves serious consideration but Tucker probably takes it.

I forgot that was his name. I was thinking of the 4th and 1 that Harris sniffed out.

What a big wtf game, going into the 4th being up 21-7 seemed all was well and a continuation into our undefeated season then as a reminder football is 60 minutes the rest is history.

Muffed punt

Dirty hit on Gronk
