We have three parallel tasks before March 5th
1) see who of our own FA's we re-sign, tender, franchise and allow to leave
2) see which free agents are available from other teams and make our wish lists
3) make early draft evaluations and plans

I don't keep up to date on this so pardon my question.
When does trading begin?
If we wanted to trade a player to another team; when can this be done?
thanks

Barring a last-minute extension:

March 4 -- Expiration of all player contracts due to expire in 2010
March 5 -- Free agency and trading period begins
