Why are we talking about next years Draft in Sept? Can they block or rush the passer this year, i don't think so.
Only the Lions and Browns start talking about the draft this early!

Way too early to be seriously looking at this kind of stuff. Let's revisit towards the end of the season.

Don't see what the issue is with keeping track. It's a harmless side issue that people can pay attention to if they want (and some clearly want to) and ignore until next spring if they don't. It's not like it prevents other more present-day discussion from taking place.

Bumped

After week 2
2010 Patriots draft projections: rounds 1 and 2 (Ignoring tie breakers)
Pats #16
Pats (Jags pick (0-2) #33
Pats (Titans pick (0-2) #34
Pats #48

Right now (pending the SNF/MNF games) the Pats are #20.

Unfortunately for the Pats right now, JAX and TEN own #1 and #2, since they have the two worst SOS values right now.

I say unfortunately because the picks cycle from round to round: the first team with a given record in the first round is the last team with that record in the second round.

So, right now, among the winless teams:

1. Jacksonville 0.414
2. Tennessee 0.483
3. Miami 0.516
4. Cleveland 0.531
5. St. Louis 0.548
6. Kansas City 0.567
7. Detroit 0.594
8. Tampa Bay 0.655
9. Carolina 0.655

Obviously, this is subject to change, but that means the Patriots have #33 and #41.

Interesting. Makes you wonder if it was in the heads of either team when performing the trade.

SOS at this point runs from .414 to .655.

Last year at the draft the range was .447 to .572, so I expect that to tighten a lot.

tim tebow will be awesome for running this spread offense

Thanks for the info...I learned something new...

Does this mean 1st round Chad Jackson can fall down to 2nd round Chad Jackson and we dont have to trade up to get him?? So we can keep our 3rd rd Kevin O'Connell pick??? Geez guys, let the frost get on the pumpkin would ya! We havent finished blowing this season, I mean the trading deadline hasnt passed! LMAO!
