Not going to post any links here and no one should either.
This is a coordinated attached on America, it appears random but I am seeing signs and I think someone is trying to destroy America both from within and without. This is dangerous territory now.

Nearly 270 gigabytes of data containing files from US police were leaked online.
Files include emails, phone numbers, text conversations and videos
There are also memos showing clothing and tattoos to look out for at protests
Officers have made arrests using this information shown in the documents
Leak includes nearly 24 years of information.
Medics, environmental activists and different groups of people recognized as non-violent are being monitored for no apparent reason by the United States police.
Wow, google is an open portal for the government, every single thing you do is ported straight through. You all better stop watching those cat videos. There is no privacy.:eek:

shouldn't police data be public anyway? Tax payer funded .... should have a right to the info. We get the police blotter in the paper....we should all of the info on what cops do....there’s no right to privacy in that instance

Most of America's divisions are stoked by foreign actors trying to weaken us. This has been true since 2008, but really ramped up in 2016. It's working too.

Most Americans would be well served to turn off anything but report-based media and form their own ideas...

    Of course, that won't happen.

except that there is plenty going on that has nothing to do with foreign actors.......if George Floyd is not killed by cops, then there's nothing to stoke in that regard. If the administration responded to CoVid on behalf of the people of this country.

It's not like what's going on in this country doesn't give anyone fuel for their fire

BTW, it did not start in 2008.......it was a little sooner than that (more like since WWII)

we are doing this to ourselves

Sure, there are events that happen, but the responses to them by the American public are not natural. There is definitely an influence that encourages division.

Covid is actually a wonderful example of how foreign influencers can change American behavior with some well placed reports, tweets, social media, etc. In early-April, America was more or less lock-step with the ideas of social distancing, lockdowns, etc, even if we knew there were better ways to handle it (South Korea, etc). Suddenly, out of nowhere, this "anti-Covid" attitude emerges and we've got armed protestors demanding an end to the lockdown. It was quick...unnaturally quick. America is unique among western countries in the level of division in response to the Covid epidemic. It's undermined public policy in response to it, turning what was already a problematic response into a disaster.

As for the start date, Russian and, to a lesser degree, Chinese influence as we know it today certainly has roots in the aftermath of the Obama election. Russian attempts to influence American discourse were practically nonexistent during the Soviet era, and the Russian government too inept until the early 2000s. It was our attempts to influence Ukraine and Georgia (and incorporate them into NATO) that inspired the current Russian information warfare campaign. The 2008 election provided just the playing field necessary to begin.

Chinese attempts to influence actually predate Russian attempts, but their campaigns have centered more on our financial and tech sectors. They WERE, of course, able to steer our media into absolving the Chinese Communist Party for their role in fostering the Covid pandemic.

EDIT - As for George Floyd and the responses to it; I'd be curious to know to what degree some ideas (such as defunding police) are from the movement, or incepted by foreign actors looking to destabilize the country. Russia and China know this is a great time to sow further racial division and destabilize our country; I would if I were in their shoes. More than a couple savvy security experts are watching Russian moves in the Baltic and Chinese moves in SE Asia (Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc). The more we implode, the better their chances of trying to pull something off with a smaller chance of an American response.

For example, China has already pressed forward with their investments in Africa, despite some huge cracks showing up pre-Covid. Our ability to counteract Chinese influence there has been crushed by Covid and our inability to put real focus into anything but our own growing number of internal problems.

All of what I said above notwithstanding, I do very much agree with this sentiment. Even with attempts to influence, Americans need to be better.

Education would go a long way, but Americans are usually accustomed to the "fast food" solution. We're going to have to change that.

The response to George Floyd was organic......of course someone who is adversarial to this country will use it as an opportunity to aggravate it. that's been going on forever.

Russians simply saw that a Trump win would damage this country.....they played Trump's ego

Evidence of Russia's 'likely hold' over Trump was covered up by the UK government, according to a former British spy

The British while maintaining neutrality accepted confederate representatives to UK and France on one of their mail ships (The Trent Affair), sent 11,000 soldiers to Canada, and threatened to attack NYC.

Attempted influence has been going on since the this country was born.......it shape shifts based on the events that happen. There were Soviet agitators during the race riots of the 60's.

well rounded intelligence/intellect routinely is subverted by baseless conspiracy theory.....this is a worldwide thing........no, 5G did not cause CoVid.........no, CoVid was not made in a lab and sent here by the Chinese military.

you really just have to look at what the basic Trump supporter believes to identify the root cause of the problem, and it's not any of the media......well it is, but many realize what some people in this country are capable of believing

Foreign manipulation of the CoVid issue here is easily done due to the complete lack of leadership displayed by our 'leadership'....however, if CoVid makes a comeback, it will be 100% a Trump administration failure along with the economic impact that is suffered.
