I’ve been a Pats fan since Bledsoe’s rookie year and live 8 hours away in central PA. Back then the only Patriots news I received was from PFW the newspaper. I’ll still root for the Pats. But in all reality I probably won’t shell out $300/year for NFL Sunday Ticket to be able to watch them...
I downloaded the 2nd half of the Patriots radio broadcast of SB51 and listen to it while commuting occasionally. Has anyone found or made audio files of other Patriots games?
Do season ticket holders even have their tickets yet? Could that be why tickets on the secondary market are so high now? I'm looking for tickets to the home opener against the Steelers and I'm hoping this explains why prices are through the roof now.
Awesome thread! 3rd & 14 in SB 49 is my all time favorite play of the Brady era.
I would also add the Amendola first play of OT catch of SB51 to the list. That pass was a thing of beauty.
Thanks! I bought a bunch of complete set cartridges when a local arcade went out of business around 2000. And then later that year I found the cabinet on Ebay in Philly. I used to pump so many quarters in these back in the early 90's.
Thanks for the link. That does look really cool! I live in Central PA farm country so finding reclaimed barn wood shouldn't be too difficult. Thanks for the next project idea!
EDIT: I found this link online detailing a similar project to Grover's
Sofa Bar Table
My first projector was put in place around 2006 back when even a 42" flat screen would set you back around $10k. I work for Penn State and large/heavy CRT projectors being retired from classrooms were pretty abundant. I used CRT projectors until about 3 years ago when mine finally died and...
I agree. These all have a similar feeling to the Colts Bill Polian “I can’t beat the Patriots” Illegal Contact kind of feel to them. If you can’t beat them and have a high powered offense just change the rules. The league likes more scoring due to ratings and likes screwing the Patriots as well.
So let's go with a scenario using all of the newly designed BS rules (including the not yet approved OT rule). A team like the Chiefs is down by a TD late in the game. They go for the 4th and 15 onside kick and do not convert on a long pass downfield. Oh wait, there is a replay review for a...
So isn't this all a moot point anyway? The new replay rule is only during the final two minutes of halves, right? I just checked and the Gilmore/Cooks play happened at 4:25 left in the fourth quarter.
Nevermind, they were talking about only doing this for the last two minutes of halves, the...
Steelers' fans: AB sucks, he is a cancer, he is a diva, Big Ben makes him look good, JuJu is better
Also Steelers' fans: We better get at least 2 first round picks for him since he is the best WR in the league
I'm guessing that Myra was keeping him in line all of these years. As soon as she passed away he started partying with celebrities and dating that woman that was half his age.
If he isn't missing parts of practices do they need to add him to the injury report? Brady probably hurt his knee during the Titans game, but they didn't have to report it since he never missed practice time. Same with Gronk.
Growing up in Central Pennsylvania I grew up hating the Pirates and Steelers. Their uniforms were ugly and the Steelers were especially bad during the Bubby Brister/end of Chuck Noll era. I was watching the last game of Bledsoe's rookie year (week 18 of the 1993 season) against the Dolphins...
Dallas maybe? They've played KC and Pitt the past 2 banner raising games. They will probably save Pitt and KC for marquee middle-end of the season games.
