Schefter: Cassel (and Vrabel) to Chiefs for 2009 2nd-rounder [merged]

Re: Adam Sch. reports : Matt Cassel to Chiefs ! [merged] Finally, a voice of reason. I would've liked a conditional draft pick as well (and who is to say there isn't one???), but these people these chicken-littles running around like the sky is falling are just outta control.

Schefter: Cassel (and Vrabel) to Chiefs for 2009 2nd-rounder [merged]

Re: Adam Sch. reports : Matt Cassel to Chiefs ! [merged] You misread me--I said "the 3-4 years prior to that", as in, he was a beast for us from 2005-2007 and then dropped off precipitously last year. You need to accept that the market just isn't there for a 34 year old LB coming off his...

Schefter: Cassel (and Vrabel) to Chiefs for 2009 2nd-rounder [merged]

Re: Adam Sch. reports : Matt Cassel to Chiefs ! [merged] You are simply overvaluing Vrabel. He is 34 years old! He was quite a bit slower this past year and didn't make nearly the number of plays that we saw from him the 3-4 years prior to that. Fact is, the guy is likely in a steep decline...

Schefter: Cassel (and Vrabel) to Chiefs for 2009 2nd-rounder [merged]

Re: Adam Sch. reports : Matt Cassel to Chiefs ! [merged] OK, to me it doesn't really matter much that Vrabel was involved in this deal. He is 34 years old and on the decline, so you really can't have expected much for him. Traded alone, he probably would have netted a sixth rounder--fifth at...

    Belichick's golf partner

Re: Belicheck's golf partner Belichick is really looking like quite the pot-head. Just look at the people he associates himself with. Not saying its a bad thing, just surpising.

    I'm seeing indications that Miami

Jesus we are going to end up with one hell of a smoking circle. Was this whole off-season about getting Bill B's son some friends to toke up with? :D

    "Experts" grade draft /moves A - A+

I still can't believe Miami took Ginn at #9. I've got a good friend of mine who is a Dolphins fan, and I can't even heckle him about the choice because I feel so sorry for him. :(

Moss & Stallworth together on the field's impact

chuch (noun): A shrine built for Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick. The "r" was removed from the word to emphasize the efficiency with which Belichick's teams destroyed the competition.

    BB on WEEI!

So, Randy double covered on one side with Stallworth in single coverage on the other? :D

    Bill's last year hath begun

I dunno...I'm a little worried. All these one year deals, an obvious attempt to load up for this year... The only thing that makes me think for sure that Bill isn't leaving is that he does not have a protege on the staff right now. That guy was Mangina, and we all know what happened...

Randy Moss traded to Patriots for #110 overall pick [merged]

    Goodbye Reche Caldwell! :D :D :D

    Michael Smith on Moss

I couldn't believe he said that either! :o I'm surprised nobody else in the studio commented on it.

Day 2 tomorrow,Who do you still like?

Maybe next year the Pats should put together a draft board? :D (Seriously though, I think it was a good idea to trade out of the top of this draft. There was not a lot there, and we don't have many open roster spots).

Please convince me that Simmons and/or Beason fit the Patriots system

Agreed, we definitely need ILB much more than OLB. As it stands now, the Pats have three starting caliber OLBs (Thomas, Colvin, Vrabel) and only one starting caliber ILB (Bruschi). And Teddy probably only has this next year left. We COULD get through this year by moving Vrabel inside...

Wow...the Detroit Lions...there are no words

They should trade down a couple of spots (TB seems like a logical trade partner) and go with Joe Thomas.
