Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

Re: Realistic UFA PATS should consider I honestly didn't want to hijack the topic because our argument has nothing to do with the subject. If you want e-mail me about it and we can discuss it. My email is in my profile. And there should NEVER be a reason the Pats shouldn't go after the...

Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

Re: Realistic UFA PATS should consider It's really not the point. The point is the Patriots have the money to spend and there should never ever be a monetary reason the Pats don't sign a free agent that will help them win.

Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

Re: Realistic UFA PATS should consider I'd want anyone who would be willing to spend anything to win. Lucky for us Kraft is smart enough to realize he shouldn't be picking the players like Snyder and Jones. It was a pretty clear insinuation that you thought Kraft kept the team here for the fans.

Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

Can he really play anymore though? He has really been trending downwards and hasn't played great since 2007. So we would be getting a 36 year old headcase WR who hasn't been very effective in a few year and we want to lock him up til he's 38?

Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

Re: Realistic UFA PATS should consider Sorry to interject in the convo, but the with an uncapped year the Pats should sign those 1-2 huge contracts because the Patriots franchise is making LOTS of money. I'll be interested to know if that 71 million is from current revenues that do not...

Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

He said it was a really tough conversion, but I'm not sure if he hated it or not. I just hope the Patriots realize he may be the best option for a veteran OLB that is an established pass rusher. I can't come up with a better option that is unrestricted.

Realistic UFAs that Pats should consider

I thought Aaron Kampman, assuming the Pats do their due diligence on his health, would be the most logical unrestricted free agent. Someone who has great pass rushing skills and just made the switch to outside linebacker with old friend Dom Capers. He's a veteran who may want to come in on a...

The real reason we don't name coordinators

It was my thought that if Belichick named either Johnson or Patricia Defensive Coordinator then the other would run to Denver either angry or scooped up by McDaniels. By not naming one Belichick is able to try and keep both somewhat happy and possibly evaluate both's ability to call a game on...

My camp report and pictures (7/31/07 PM)

Meriweather was playing CB on the second team defense if I remember correctly. At one point I saw Rodney make Meriweather pick up his helmet and hand it to him. Thought that was pretty funny. I don't remember him being thrown at, so it's tough to say how well he really played. I forget who...

My camp report and pictures (7/31/07 PM)

I made it in for the afternoon session today too.. Quick note An assistant coach actually threw a pass to Brady and he dropped it, which prompted a guy in the stands to yell "You gotta catch those Tommy" Then he spiked it. Funny either way. I couldn't get over the cheers everytime...

    Wow-poor Bills

I think the Bills will win openning day. I think they can win 2-3 those games.

    Bills mailing in 2007 season?

I tend to disagree that they have already mailed it in. Letting Fletcher sign somewhere else was inevitable. Someone was going to sign him for more money than the Bills valued him. He is going to be 32 this year and is going to slow down at sometime. Plus they drafted Crowell a few years ago...

    The Pats run is over.......

yeah we made the conference championship and lost by 4 points. our run is over we shouldn't even play next year. lol

    linebackers please!!!!

I'm pretty sure TBC will be back. He just bought a home around here. Was previously living in California and he didn't like to travel constantly, so I'm guessing he is gonna stay. London Fletcher wouldn't be bad. He is aging but is still a tackling machine. I doubt they will draft a LB...

    Watson is hurting this team

He was second on the team in recieving. He had almost 50 catches and missed three games at the end of they year. He fumbled the ball 3 times all year and the Pats only lost 1. I think you're making it out to be a lot worse than it is. He had the 4th most catches for AFC TEs. Watson is still...

    Safety

I agree. Harrison will be 35 next year and has only played in 21 games the last three years. Sanders isn't bad, but we could use more depth. Wilson also has been hurt two and the last three years and did not play well in 04. Jones and Hawkins can be backups, but neither should be...

    Our next CB... (second round)

I believe Samuel will play if they franchise him. Why not play for top 5 money for one year? Hobbs played well this year in the number 2 spot. Find a decent nickel corner and have Gay as a dime back. I thought the corner play was good this year. It would have benefitted from having better...

Is Gaffney signed beyond this season?

haha. I liked Gabriel he really never saw the field. He did fumble that rock against the Jets, which is why I think BB cut him.

    Raiders might go after McDaniels

Raiders have a solid defense, but that OL is terrible. I hope JMcD doesn't leave. We can't afford to lose another Coordinator.
