School a Youngster: What Made John Hannah So Good?

NFL Films has footage of a corner saying that defensive coaches warned him not to engage with Hannah on sweeps--just get down on the ground! You see people just exploding off-screen after he hit them. Cornfed O-linemen will hurt you.

Trying to explain to the Lady the need to block off 6 hours each Sunday now instead of the usual 3.

The beautiful thing about the Eagles is

Love seeing the Iggles go down but everytime I watch them, I can't question how the hell we lost to that crapheap...

    What is Offensive Pass Interference?

Roger Goodell is working on a solution here as we speak.

Coaches blew it with situational football

Yup. Chandler came in here with great expectations. But he is not a smooth ball catcher even when he is open.

Coaches blew it with situational football

While we applaud the usually unpredicatable Patriot playcalling, lack of run calls with a lead like this is either dumb or arrogant. Josh McDaniels can choose which one it is. We're on to Philly baby.

Curran/Jason Cole: Pats had almost no chance with Revis.

It meant a lot to Revis to average more $ per game -- you know the Jets won't play more than 16 games next year. I still like him what he did here.

Pats best and worst all-time draft picks?

Hart Lee Dykes, a wideout drafted first round 1989 to compliment Irving Fryar I believe. Known for smacking his hands at footballs as if they were hornets rather than passes to be caught, he was injured every other week and flamed out quick.

Pats lost battle of the trenches

Mankins was a turnstile on that play. Brutal.

Pats lost battle of the trenches

Not really my friend. The numbers speak for themselves in the quite large sample of Patriot playoff games: Patriots win with some balance in offense, and lose badly with the pop gun mentality. There were still 20+ minutes to play.

Pats lost battle of the trenches

We lost battle of trenches on O-line because the white flag was flying on the running game by halftime. Contrast it to Seattle: Marshawn Lynch had 33 yards at the half, getting stuffed pretty regularly. Seattle kept with the run, and it paid off. The Patriots offiense was reduced to a pop gun...

    4 - 1

This is the best I've felt about a Patriots defense since 2003-2007. Once we get some weapons back like Gronk, Amendola and the rookies have time to sync up, we will roll some dirty bastards in November.

Winning with this current receiver corp is not sustainable

As the night went on, Dobson just looked terrified, big eyes. Is he related to Reche Caldwell?

Winning with this current receiver corp is not sustainable

Tommy needs to get a bit of humility and make sure he doesn't burn out rookie confidence. After all it wasn't a rookie who gave the Giants a safety in the Super Bowl. One of the biggest zipperhead plays ever. Now back to a work in progress.

Hope they aren't rushing Gronk back early....

Yes, and Gronk's importantance to the running game compared to other TEs cannot be overplayed. The dude abuses blockers. Fells often looked like he was serving tea and crumpets to the D-line.

Predict the Score Contest, Week 4 NE @ BUF

Patriots -- 24 Bills --20 Play of the game: 51 year old Steve Tasker signs one day contract and runs one back for the final Bills score, making it semi-tolerable to live in western NY for another 24 hours.
