I doubt it. The Pats are swinging for the fences this offseason, and I'm sure that they believe, based on past successes, that they can get two players in the lower end of the first round that can contribute in a hurry. They've suprised people in the past (Mankins comes to mind), but if I had...
THIS is true class
From the Globe...
"The act was so selfless by Troy Brown that the McGowan family of Attleboro wanted to share the story, even though Brown requested that there be no publicity.
Eight-year-old Matthew McGowan had been admitted to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence...
Agreed. If these are, indeed, the numbers, the Pats got a bargain, but Thomas makes out very well by getting 24 mil in the first three years. Seems like a win-win for AD and the team.
I'm giggling at the thought of a winning QB or coach hoisting the Lombardi trophy and shouting, "All praise to Satan!" Then watching Jim Nantz's reaction.:D
Had a look at the photos on the cbssportsline site. Me thinks the linemen have their gamefaces on already. I dunno, I get a good feeling looking at these pics...
The AFC East will be an absolute beast next year. Every team in it - including ours - is on the upswing. And I don't see the gap between the AFC and NFC narrowing in the near future.
Of course, the tools that pass for the national football press corp will continue to wash the balls of any...
Notice that Dillon seems to picking up a bit of steam as the playoffs begin? No wonder he wasn't upset about the Maroney pick. We now have two sets of relatively fresh legs to pound it in the postseason. And yes, Maroney seems like a class act, a patriots kind of guy.
Agreed. Count me among the skeptical when they brought him. But he was pretty stout in there, especially against the run. Plus, he's a Pats kind of guy: smart, intense and dedicated. I would have liked to have seen his tears of joy on the field in Miami after the Pats win Superbowl XLI.
As much as I think the old logo was cooler, I just can't bring myself to buy any Pats gear with Pat Patriot. Whenever I see old Pat, I simply associate him with the era of failure. Of course, the turnaround of the franchise had nothing to do with the unis - a better front office, better...
People are letting nostalgia cloud their judgment. The 2003-2004 stretch was better (34-4 including playoffs with two superbowl wins can't be topped). That said, Dreith's call probablydid cost us a title - everyone knew that the winner of the Pats-Raiders game was going to win it all.
