Re: WAAF Reporting
From what I've read, up to now he's pretty much been a career special teamer with nagging foot problems since college. Another cheap band-aid.
I just checked. For anyone who gets WWOR (Channel 9 out of NYC) they will be carrying the game in the NYC metro area. Kick off at 8 pm with a pregame on at 7 pm (Giant oriented of course). If you've got the Optimum cable package from Cablevision, you get Channel 9. Enjoy the game.
I'll give Light a pass (no pun intended). It's Kaczur that has to go in my opinion. He can't stop anything. I've seen too many DE's and LB's blow past him this year while he does his matador routine (OLE!!!) and Brady takes a hit. Personally, I'd rather see Hochstein in there rather than Nicky boy.
This is my biggest gripe with the NFL. This is a multi-BILLION dollar league that uses part time officials. These guys are like the National Guard in a way. There's just so much you can expect from a part time anything (and I'm not dissing the National Guard here at all). These officials all...
Although I would prefer Nelson, I wouldn't cry if we got Griffin. He's a 200 pounder who hits like he's 220. I like the line "he hits like it's personal". Give him a year learning with Rodney and we'd be set for 5 or 6 years.
Re: jets sign QB
Nah, that would be pretty surprising for them to do that. Clemens is the guy for them post Pennington and Carr I'm sure isn't going any place where he would be the #3 guy at best. He may not be able to be a starter anywhere, but Carr is going to look for a place where he can...
Nah, he'd be done. I'm actually very surprised that he's going to come back this year (maybe). But 3 major injuries in 2 years should just about do it for my all time favorite Patriot. His game is playing full tilt every play and hitting like a frieght train. I think he probably has too much...
You know, I would be fascinated if anyone has any hints as to why Borges has had such a vendetta against the Patriots/Belichick. Anyone have any media references or rumors they have heard ?
The one rumor (Full Disclosure: I have NOTHING to back this up) that I've always heard is that Borges...
I've been thinking this exact same thing. Everything I've read about Hamlin says perfect fit for New England yet nobody seems interested. He's young, hits hard...must be something about him that nobody likes besides the money.
You took the words right out of my mouth patsgo. But not to worry. This is a one playoff game and out team, sad to say. There's no chance we'll even see the Chargers in the playoffs this year.
It must be fantastic to live in a world of sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. I'll tell you what gets to me...the fans that immediatley jump down someones throat the second they voice an opinion that veers from the party line. It doesn't make you a bad fan to voice an opinion that isn't...
Well, unfortunatley, the height of the bar has been set by 3 Super Bowls and anything less is not considered a successful season here. In New York, even though the Yankees have won the division what, 6 straight years, Yankee fans consider it a lost season if they don't get to the World Series...
Grew up in and around New Haven, CT, now live in Milford, CT. Became a Pats fan because my mother and father were both from the Boston area (my grandfather owned the first repair shop for the horseless carriage in Boston!) and I was raised to despise all things New York and love all things New...
Well Andy, while some of what you say is true, I'm noticing that an awful lot of people are basing their opinion on what WILL happen this year based on what DID happen in years past. While I'll agree that Brady and Belichick may be the best in the business, just because something has always...
Well, win or lose, I'll settle for 53 guys giving 100% for 60 minutes and a game plan that makes sense, something that I don't think we've seen yet this year. Which is why I say that Brady and Belichick haven't been at the top of their game yet this year. I know, I know "in the past...", but...
Exactly. What I'm fed up with are the fans that think you're a "bandwagon jumper" if you do criticize the team. What does being a fan mean? My team, right or wrong? I'll reserve that emotion for the United States of America. I've been a fan of this team longer probably, than 80% of the members...
Bingo! Exactly right! And I'll never understand it. Unless of course you assume that 99% of the media "pundits" are morons Then it's perfectly understandable.
