Is anyone else a little surprised that the media has been relatively low key about all this so far? Having watched Sportscenter, and read some columns, it seems to me this is not the 24/7 drama I was afraid it was going to be.
Granted this can all get a lot worse if there are any criminal...
The Detroit Free Press ran an article today they wrote in '99, before Brady's win in the Orange Bowl his senior year. It's a good read, almost eerie in its sign of things to come.

Tomlinson has a hyperextended knee, but says he's going to play:
Rivers:
Looks like they'll both play, maybe it's a little less uncertain with Rivers. Injuries plus real cold weather, it's going to be tough. I love all the detailed injury information, by the way...
Brady, Moss, Light, Asante, and Vrabel.
Moss was a unanimous pick, and Brady almost was, short by half a vote:
Favre strikes again! It's funny :D
Congratulations to the players!

...that LT plays for his team. Wet, muddy field, Rivers is terrible, one of the greatest RBs ever plays for your team...and you don't give him the ball??
What a terrible job. Just terrible.
This is my problem with some of the media using the injury excuse for the Colts.
When you have a ten point lead with nine minutes to go at home, and you're the defending champs, you must close that game out. It's like the Pats in the championship game last year. Once they built up that big...
Absolutely amazing, sick, unbelievable catch. What a physical freak this guy is. Every week it's like he makes another catch that tops the one he made the game before. There are not enough words to describe how awesome that catch was.
I know every season has its ups and downs, and there is usually some drama that goes on, but this season has been off the charts.
Some of what's gone on so far:
1. Rodney's suspension a week before the season starts
2. Spygate
3. Destroying the Chargers
4. Brady playing out of his mind...
....the Redskins that is. Listen, this Patriot offense is a machine, and the Redskins cannot keep up. But Miami was an inferior team too and the offense also moved at will against them, but I never got the feeling they gave up. I'm getting that feeling from the Redskins.
I see that as a bad...
Here's something fun. King quotes a head coach in his Inside the NFL column, who says:
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/peter_king/09/19/mob.mentality0924/index.html
So which head coach is it? Is it friend Romeo? Old schoolers Joe Gibbs, Mike Shanahan?
Take a guess.
I know not everyone likes Simmons, and yes he's a Pats homer, but I think this is a pretty fair take. The Mangini stuff made me laugh.
Also this, in response to a question about Brady being happy that Moss is a Patriot...
From the NY Daily News:

Pasquarelli said he's heard there were more players waiting on appeal, and that there would be more suspensions announced next week. He said he...
According to Tomase in today's Herald:

Belichick may indeed love him, and as the article points out they've taken risks on questionable character guys like Dillon before...
I would've said 'no way' if you asked me a...
Here's video of Brady testifying in Chralie's lawsuit. If you're bored enough to watch, well here you go!
I just heard the first part:
"Mr. Brady could you give us your name and profession."
"Tom Brady. Quarterback for the New England Patriots."
Yup, I guess that qualifies as a star...
I thought today's article by Jackie MacMullan was a good one. It basically talks about the core group of veterans on this team, especially the players who have been there for all three Superbowl wins. It has some good quotes, especially about these guys fighting through injury...
